this part a bit slow. sick with flu. Ugg eating chicken soup for days. I too would get sick of that. But very sad that his brother is not talked about nor do they have any photos of him in the house because he went to jail. Wonder what he went to jail for? His parents seem very over protective makes me wonder if I am smothering my kids by all my strict rules. Wow, Shannon you read fast. I wasn't home today but did bring the book with me to the beach and when my kids were on the rides I brought out the book.

I wonder what he went to jail for too. I relate to Dante not really feeling Mexican. I'm a Mexican American but I sure don't look it.

Keep reading! :) I really loved reading about their cultural identities and different experiences being Mexican American. I am Asian American but am also half Caucasian and I understand the cultural gap all too well!
