For this meme, we will be playing a game.
Give two books you can recommend based on a given key word, and give short explanations why they are related to the word. This is a round robin game so the one who had successfully posted before you will be the one to supply the word.
Example:
I'll start with a post with a key word: "Fish"
Whoever will post next should give me two book recommendation that has some connection with the key word, and explanations as to why.
Say, Aaron posts with answers The Old Man and the Sea, and A River Runs Through It. The first one is about an old man who is trying to catch a big fish, while the second one have characters who love fly fishing.
(Note that the plot or the theme must have something to do with the key word. It's not necessary to have it in the title.)
So Aaron gets to choose the next keyword. Say he chooses "Trains".
Then say Angus will be the first to bite the given keyword with Trainspotting and Murder on the Orient Express... and so on and so forth.
Here are some rules:
1. Everyone can reply/post multiple times.
2. In case of multiple answers to a keyword, the first one (as per the timestamp) gets the points.
3. Each post must have the following:
- two book recommendations
- the explanations why these books relate to the keyword
- the next keyword
Any one of the three is missing, will invalidate your post (even if you were the one who've posted first).
4. Every post with acceptable recommendations, explanation, & keyword will get 5 points.
5. Having the keyword just in the title without any connection to the plot or theme will mean minus 2.5 point per wrong book recommendation (so minus 5 points if both recommendation are wrong; but his/her chosen keyword will be the one to be followed next.)
6. Minus 5 points if the keyword he/she gave is too hard (i.e. no replies/post to the given keyword after 24 hours). In this case, I'll intervene & give the next keyword.
7. Yes, non-fiction is ok, so books like Fishing 101: The Essential Guide to Learning How to Fish is allowed. Pero ang corny nyo ha? :-P
8. The one with the highest point wins & gets a prize! :-)
9. You can't answer your own key word. Haller naman noh. -_-
10. No repetition of books and key word that was already given in a previous answer / post.
Questions are very much welcome. Thank you for participating! :-D
