Shannon is alone on the goal for the published date of the 24th, I had to bail on my book to save my sanity, being dramatic I know :P I'll be looking for another one just in case we get that goal again.

I was also looking at a shipping page but apparently not the same as you. That is definitely not what I got. I will include your link.. so there is no discrepancy. The mods can look at it if need be!

okay....I am changing my choice of the Amazon 2000 best seller....I am now reading this which is on the Amazon page 1-20 and I will stick to it hell or high water! I am being so moody with books this evening. I am officially reading Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom enough changing books! I am not usually this horrible but after coming off from the wonderful glow of The Invention of Wings...well, what can I say?

I'm looking right now for something....I'll let you all know if I run across one.

message 385: by Margaret (new)

Margaret (everlastinggrace) okay finding the first published on the 5th of any month is hard! My problem is on some editions there is a date for that edition but will tell you originally published 1991 for instance but not the actual day or month but the year. I found one that was published on the 5th but not "originally" and only the year is given. I guess I need to find where it tells you exactly. Is this correct? I am going back to my book and give up looking tonight.

Let me get back to you on that. I'm inclined to say you can use it in that situation but I'm going to ask the other mods to confirm just to keep things fair. :)

message 388: by Margaret (new)

Margaret (everlastinggrace) Alright that sounds good. :)I will be able to start another book tomorrow if I get the clear. Here is the link of the book I am talking about: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1... there are several editions and this particular one (ebook) I am thinking that I need to keep looking because this particular book is not what they are looking for.

I have been looking through my "real" books the publish year is there but not the day and month. Sounds like if you were to go to the library and look for what we need, it's going to be tough. On Goodreads, the month and day might be there but it inconsistent. A tough one, I think :(

message 395: by Shannon (new)

Shannon (countessmom) | 4087 comments Yea. It's difficult. Amazon just has the 24th publish date with nothing else, which is why I snagged it -- it fit several challenges all at once.

Guess I should have also checked GR too.

But then you'd think if they were being super specific, the mods would have just said so. I recall seeing other things where they've been specific with "first published", so if the goal is taken literally ...it fits. It was published on the 24th...that's all the goal asks for...
