I have two pups, so being out of the house while they show is not much fun in summer heat.

Margaret (everlastinggrace) I was going to mention my book with only 1/3 of the cover is blue but I see at least two books already read with a lot of blue and not used for goals.

I'm glad you like the challenge so much! I've been having a lot of fun, too, and I'm glad we got such a great team.
Don't worry about not being as fast of a reader as some. The entire point of these challenges is to have fun and meet other readers. :)

message 570: by Amanda (new)

Amanda (daughterofoak) | 3473 comments We were able to complete a few goals with previously read books:(view spoiler)

message 571: by Amanda (new)

Amanda (daughterofoak) | 3473 comments Argon's new goals:
1) Read a book that is in the Amazon 2003 bestsellers (http://www.amazon.com/gp/bestsellers/...)
2) Read a book where the first word of the text is This

I'm currently going through our finished books to see if anything will fill the second goal.

message 572: by Margaret (last edited Aug 26, 2015 08:42PM) (new)

Margaret (everlastinggrace) How many goals do we have for the Amazon 2003? I am currently reading The Five People You Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom which is on the 1-20 page on the list.

message 573: by Margaret (new)

Margaret (everlastinggrace) I also have the The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd to hit this goal if it comes up again....I am ready! lol

We have two Amazon 2003 goals and one 2004 goal.

I'll post a full list of our goals in a few minutes. Right now I'm juggling too many tasks and getting confused. :D

message 575: by Shannon (new)

Shannon (countessmom) | 4087 comments You go Margaret!!! ;)

I checked my open books & the books I'm most likely to start in the best few days..... No "This"

I've got to make up for my Queen of Fire DNF in another challenge so next up will be something with a weapon on the cover...but right now I'm reading to get somebody out of book "jail" lol!

I can keep looking though....

message 576: by Margaret (new)

Margaret (everlastinggrace) I totally understand that! I can hit both of the 2003 goals if you want, I have the books and I have the time. :D

Book: Every Last Breath (The Dark Elements, #3) by Jennifer L. Armentrout Every Last Breath by Jennifer L. Armentrout
Page Count: 400
Date Read: 8/26/15
Attack Points: 0.5
Rating: 4 stars
Goal: N/A

I'm so angry right now. I've been waiting for this book to come out. Then I waited so patiently for my library to order it for me. It's the end of the trilogy. One of my favorite YA Paranormal - not because it's exceptionally good, but because it's different. Anyways, I finally finish and she didn't answer all my questions! Like deliberately left us hanging on who this mystery character is. Grrrrrr

message 578: by Shannon (new)

Shannon (countessmom) | 4087 comments I hate that!

I felt that way when I got to the end of the 3rd Eragon book. It was supposed to be a trilogy! I read book three thinking it was a trilogy! ..... It wasn't...

Bet she's planning on more...

message 579: by Kim (new)

Kim Anderson (kimmatski) | 1223 comments Nope. She says she's done. I like legit can't sleep right now. And everyone else is so wrapped up in who she did and didn't pick in the love triangle and I'm like: GUYS! There's a whole mystery character that we don't know the identity of!!! And no one cares. Maybe this is the first sign I'm getting too old to read YA. Sigh....

message 580: by Amanda (new)

Amanda (daughterofoak) | 3473 comments That would drive me up the wall! If a story/series is wrapped up I think the story line should be as well.
I've discovered that I really hate love triangles, especially in YA.

message 581: by Amanda (new)

Amanda (daughterofoak) | 3473 comments I found something to fit the "this" goal in quite literally the last book I had to check of both spreadsheets. >.<
I used Chris' book Behind the Shattered Glass.

Agron's new goal: Read a book whose author has more than 2 pen names

message 582: by Amanda (last edited Aug 27, 2015 01:04AM) (new)

Amanda (daughterofoak) | 3473 comments Saxa's Goals:
1) Read a book with the word king, queen, prince or princess (plurals are acceptable) in the title (Shannon and Kim)
2) Read a book with the word highway, road, avenue or street (plurals are acceptable) in the title (Amanda)
3) Read a book that is in the Amazon 2004 bestsellers (http://www.amazon.com/gp/bestsellers/...) (Margaret and Christine)

Agron's Goals:
1) Read a book that starts with the letter O
2) Read a book that is in the Amazon 2003 bestsellers (http://www.amazon.com/gp/bestsellers/...) (Laura or Margaret)
3) Read a book that contains the word strawberry

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Ok, I think I got all of that correct. I forgot who was doing what and I had to go back and piece it all together. ;)

message 583: by Margaret (new)

Margaret (everlastinggrace) finished:

Amanda (daughterofoak) | 3473 comments I can read A Morbid Taste for Bones (Chronicles of Brother Cadfael, #1) by Ellis Peters by Ellis Peters...aka Edith Pargeter, Peter Benedict, Jolyon Carr, and John Redfern.
I downloaded it to my Kindle a few days ago and never got around to starting it. The good thing is that it's a shorty (197 pages) and will go very fast.

wow....that will go fast...so Stephen King wouldn't qualify right? Plus, his books are too hefty unless we carry it over but it sounds like you will be taking care of it before the week is out.

I was able to find out that he used another pen name for a short story that he wrote, which would make him count. His books are all pretty hefty though.

message 589: by Margaret (new)

Margaret (everlastinggrace) imagine that! man....I have been reading some excellent books in this challenge...I am turning into a book fiend, addict. Going to bed, finally. Great Job Teamies! ;)

message 590: by Amanda (last edited Aug 27, 2015 01:09AM) (new)

Amanda (daughterofoak) | 3473 comments Huh. I thought we used Elle's book Blaze by Richard Bachman for a goal but it's free. So we won't have to worry about that pen name goal after all. Ok, updating the spreadsheet. I'll be back with our new goal.

message 591: by Amanda (new)

Amanda (daughterofoak) | 3473 comments Agron's new goals:

message 594: by Kim (new)
