Ahhh I finished the book and I absolutely LOVED it!! I really did not expect that Carmen was involved! And then Owen... GAH.
I always had a suspicion about Carmen! She seemed kind of shady, especially when she let her in to see her brother almost without a fight. I had NO idea about Owen, though! That was a shock haha.
Yeah, I got suspicious too when she opened Ben's drawer. it was so out of character! but I just attributed it to pity. I feel so stupid because I never saw the Owen twist coming. I was so pissed when Wes's memory was tampered with though.
Yeah, she did seem genuinely sad for the MC. Yeah, same. Their relationship developed pretty fast and I still didn't think anything of it ha. Oh, definitely! I'm reading the second book and it's really frustrating because of that.
The flashbacks were great, I agree. It lets you get to know a character who was never even really in the story, and adding depth to the MC because it shows the reasons behind her actions.
I'm dying. I'm dead. That was absolutely amazing. Owen absolutely took me by surprise. Completely out of left field! I was suspicious when his apartment still had the memories, but I never would have gone as far as Victoria did with the in-depth betrayal.
And I love Wes. So cute! I hope to see more of that blossoming in THE UNBOUND.
Overall I thought the writing was particularity amazing and the story line completely gripping. I finished it while at work and everytime the phone rang, we're talking the last 20% it took all my effort not to answer the phone with "What?!"
From beyond the grave. ;)Yeah, he was a little sketchy but it was kind of a shock!
Aha, nice! I'm glad you liked it so much, Andrea! I liked it a lot, too. I'm currently reading Unbound and it's pretty good so far as well.
