Okay, thanks.
would you consider this blue? Within the book, her markings are described as teal, but not really sure where this falls

"Oh, I wish you hadn't mentioned teal, because now that's all I can see! However, where the light is showing through (I think that's what that is) is pulling more blue than green for me, so it's approved for blue!
Does this book work for fantasy? I know the cover is blue, so that works; but I'm wondering about the SRC guidelines for the children's book part?

"My gut reaction is to say no, it won't work. According to Amazon, it has a reading level of 7 (meaning for age 7), and according to the SRC rules "If the intended audience is 9 years old or younger, it probably won't work for the task".
Can a moderator weigh in here?

Stacie's correct. This is an Early Elementary School book and won't work for SRC tasks.

"That will definitely work! Good choice!
Abigail wrote: "I wanted to check: Does the starfish in front count as orange for romance?

Unfortunately, it's totally looks more pink than orange to me. Sorry, it won't work.
No worries. I clicked through here, and I agree. My library copy must have changed with age. Thanks! --Abigail
How about these?
for mystery - (cover)
for horror - (center of cover)
for romance - ( cover is green)

Your first two books are fine. For the last one, green is for science fiction, and purple is for historical fiction. Unfortunately, and I'm not sure if this is just another Goodreads fluke, no genres are showing up for the last book, so as of right now, it cannot be used.
No problem. I will focus on the first two - the 3rd one seems like a snafu all the way around. Not enough caffeine to keep the mind firing on all cylinders apparently! Thanks for the feedback.
I just found another one to check out:
- background and coat are purple - historical fiction is listed as a genre
Helen wrote: "I just found another one to check out:

Is this OK for orange/romance? (Orange flowers upper right and lower left, author's name, hummingbird's feet)
Thanks.

That'll work
Trying again. :) Would either the chairs or the flowers on the table count as orange on this one?
Thanks!

The chairs look red to me, but I'll say yes to the flowers

On my kindle it looks more like a grayish blue

It may have been my screen, but I've checked on a different one and it looks more blue. I'll allow it!

Thank you :)
Wanda wrote: "Will the red spot (It is blood) on the cover qualify for something red?
"Yes, that will work.
Janet F wrote: "How about
for purple letters in title for Historical Fiction?"That will work (and sorry for the delayed response...this week has been insane!)
Deedee wrote: "For Historical Fiction:
The woman's blouse is 30-50% purple. Thanks!"
I don't see purple...I see blue. Sorry!
I'm having a hard time telling if the title is orange or gold? On my copy it looks orange but the photo looks a bit different.

Dee wrote: "Thx Stacie ;) 2 days and 4 tasks and 3.5 books to go"You can do it! I've got about 15 left, so there's no way I'll make the 30 point cutoff, but I should be able to finish. Work has just been kicking my a$$ this tune around!
Same here - between and triathlon training is kicking my ass - this is prob my last season finishing for a while

Hey, thanks for the quick response.
I think I've found a book to use instead:
Flash Boys: A Wall Street Revolt (2014) by Michael Lewis (Hardcover, 274 pages)
As of May 15, 2014, the last genre listed on the book's main page is:
Mystery > Crime
Would that one work? Thanks!

Yup, that will work
In real life this book has a purple stripe at the top of the cover. What does it look like to you? Enough purple to count?
Lorna wrote: "

I can see it at the top, so it will work

Would
work for blue (sky) or orange (little girl's shirt)? Both romance and Sci-Fi fantasy are listed on the main page.
Alexis wrote: "Would
