I wanted to write more now that we're home from the beach, but can't keep my eyes open. I did read most of the posts here tho. Lots of good posts!! G'nite.....
This was such a great idea for a toppler J'mom. I am sad that I never got to read my book or participate in the chat. Looks like you all had fun though!

Like look how bored poor you must be, opening a book in desperation, lol!!

It's a goal of mine to read more of his work in the near future. ALSO glad to read that you're healing quickly after the bad fall. Have a wonderful time at your niece's wedding :)

I love when dogs do this :) Though not so much the time or two in years gone by when Sheeba flopped down and rolled on stinky, dead, fishy things. UGH!
Sheeba enjoyed the beach this trip mostly by sitting and soaking up what she could see and smell. There's something so healing and outside of time and self about the ocean and beach to me.
Wonderful toppler! But 24 hours goes by too fast!!Sorry I couldn't post more during the actual toppler event. I didn't have internet access most of that time. I loved reading everyone's stories and comments...
I especially loved reading Casceil's long history of cat/family stories. I also have many cat stories in my life. My husband and I currently have five rescue kitties - a "side effect" of volunteer work on behalf of feral and stray cats in Austin.
I also really resonated with Sam and Mariab's sharing about a common interest in feminist writing, work, and advancement as well as Lynn's story of her lifetime love and pursuit of music, now thru choral singing.
But I LOVED all the other personal stories shared here, whether it was about what your favorite genre is and why or about a book related to work you do in your life or how reading connects you to family members, whether mothers, daughters, sisters - or cats and DOGS : )
Thanks everyone!!

jaxnsmom wrote: "Wow Lynn. I knew you were in a choir, but not the extent to which music played a role in your life. How wonderful to have something that you love and that brings you so much joy."Yeah, that alongside the TV programme Buffy have been the biggest influence on my friendships and social life.

Thanks for that info I was wondering why in the book it is M&M's but in the movie it was Reese's Pieces. I was going to research why that was
Tammy wrote: "Did we get a total for the toppler?"We don't have points in the 24 hour ones. Is there something specific you were wondering about? There are badges, but you will learn that I am slow getting them posted :)
I don't think Jmom counted total books, but all the information is in this thread if you want to go back and compile it, Tammy.
I give myself a slap on the wrist! The badges have been ready but I forgot to post them. Let me know if I've missed anyone.
