Hi Ada. Very difficult to quote without seeing the work, but you're very welcome to take a look at my website www.coinlea.co.uk and send me a sample - I'm based in the UK and happy to give you a quote and sample edit. What genre is it?

I am a fully qualified UK copy editor/proofreader, having worked for both authors and publishers alike (references always available) since 2008. I currently charge £5 per 1000 words for copy editing (which includes spelling, grammar, flow, sentence structure, characterisation etc), and offer the first 1000 words free (a cost to you would therefore be £765 for the total novel). I charge in this way so that you are always in control of costs as I can review as much or as little of your novel as you wish.
I hope this information is helpful but I would happily discuss this further if you are interested. You can contact me here on Goodreads, direct via my email whitediamondedits@gmail.com, or via my website whitediamondedits.wordpress.com

Don't like to offer a quote without seeing at least a sample of the manuscript, but feel free to check out my website and author services at http://villagegreenpressLLC.com
I don't offer free sample edits, but I will complete your first 25 pages for 25.00 so we can get to know each other!

I'm a former journalist, proofer, and high school English teacher. I charge $0.015 per word for copyediting and can provide a free sample edit so you can decide if my style works for your book.
Currently, my next opening is in April.
You can learn more about my services at www.bookflydesign.com/editing.
Thanks, and good luck finding the right editor for you.

At Jefferson Franklin Editing, we've capped our prices - no-one with a manuscript under 200,000 words pays more than £500 for a full edit and critique.
Our pricing matrix is also based on two factors - word-count and turnaround time, meaning you keep control of your financial destiny - for 154,000 words, you'd be looking at:
2 week turnaround: £425
3 week turnaround: £415
4 week turnaround: £375
So to spend less, just opt for the longer turnaround.
What's more, you don't spend a penny unless you're happy for us to do the work. We offer completely free, no obligation sample chapter edits - send us your first chapter and we'll send you the free edit and critique on it within seven days. That way you spend none of your hard-earned money before you're certain we're right for your manuscript.
To see what we can do for you, simply send an email to enquiries@jefferson-franklin.co.uk, attaching your chapter as a Word document.
