Hi everyone! Just wanted to drop in and introduce myself. My name is Ginger and I am one of the writers of Quest of the Hybrid, the 1st book of the Aurora Conspiracy Trilogy. We thank you and are excited to have Quest of the Hybrid featured as the giveaway for March in celebration of the roll out of the new edition covers! We've also just released Chaos Unleashed, the 4th episode in the Prequel Series. We went completely insane with this one, popping into the Boston Tea Party and running into trouble with the Founding Fathers! We hope you enjoy the scavenger hunt - figured we would have you "travel" to play! We look forward to getting to know you a little better over the next month and would be happy to answer any questions that you may have.
Hmmm...soooo, as a kid my favorite all time movie was Raiders of the Lost Ark. It actually held its title until Pirates of the Caribbean, which is a very long time as many movies as I watch. But Indiana Jones, how can you beat a character like Indy? He has inspired me to visualize great catastrophes for Jesse in Quest of the Hybrid. One of my favorite parts in the story is when Marcus eats the poisonous prappel when they are in the Bermuda Triangle...no spoilers, so I can't explain any further. What time periods does Quest of the Hybrid cover? I get the idea that the book is both futuristic sci-fi but also historic time travel.
Hi Lincoln. Quest of the Hybrid, the first book in the Aurora Conspiracy Trilogy, takes place in the present time as we follow Jesse Proctor on her adventure to find out what really happened to her mother that disappeared into a windmill. She meets Aurelius, who knows her family secret. Aurelius, being an alien, can live for hundreds of years, therefore he is also in the Aurora Conspiracy Prequel Series, of which Crash Landing is the first one and goes back to 1897 to explain how everything happened in the first place and how Aurelius met the Proctor family. You can read them in either order.
We've added a bonus at the end of the scavenger hunt, so make sure you check it out!

Hi guys! Author/partner in crime here! Very excited to be able to launch Quest of the Hybrid after a long journey to get there. Time and history are a part of all of our lives and our take on what we accept as truths in this world (and beyond) can certainly be challenged. As Ginger Gelsheimer and I really took a look around, this challenge felt right as we started down a path to uncover some pieces to that crazy puzzle of time. Jesse is on a mission to uncover truths and explanations about her own life, those around her and our world overall. We truly hope you can jump on board and ride that journey with us!The Episodes are a great peek into what happened before that big event, so cleanly covered up in Aurora Texas, so don’t miss the details that set up Quest of the Hybrid...you won’t want to miss a beat!
As for me, I’m a Colorado girl with a love of the Colorado Rockies like no other. If I’m not on the mountain, in a tent or in my jeep, you will find me with a computer, book or pen in hand. Not really known as the “sitting still” type, teaming up with Ginger made perfect sense from day one and all the way through! (cabins on the river can do that to people).
I love to live by adventure and seek out new things and since Quest of the Hybrid takes Jesse right down that alley, I just can’t help but want to go with her.
Her strong determination and her loyalties for what she feels is the right thing to do is why I love that girl! She even goes so far as to put those over the ever so popular trends for girls her age including boys and marriage...after all, who has time for that stuff when these other things are out there...waiting for discovery and solutions!
Are you ready to take a ride? I hope so and hope you will enjoy these adventures with us!

Did the two of you try to create a strong heroine on purpose? I know the YA frenzy with Katniss and whoever the character is in Divergent etc, has really stirred the pot on having no nonsense strong women leads.

How am I take that statement as a reader? So much is happening no one has time to breathe or sleep, never mind having meaningful relationships? This is no romance novel its an adventure!

I suppose I should read the book and get to know the character of Jesse to understand her motivations.
Good points Lincoln! I can see what you mean. Let me say that for Jesse, she WANTS the truth, she is drawn to it. In her eyes, it is "the right thing to do" and can't leave it be. Male or female it takes guts to "go for it" in life and that is what she does...she is not distracted by the normal things that make us comfortable in life and in her case that would be things focused around her age and location (marriage being one of them). Along with adventure, there is most definitely romance, relationships of many kinds, loyalties and perseverance) so I'm happy you asked about that.I like that you bring up the heroine point also. Jesse is a character that unfolded along with the story itself years back while we were here in Colorado. Long before any current trends, Jesse was our girl. She is who we follow on this journey in Quest of the Hybrid but the journey and discoveries are for everyone.
And do not be mistaken, no distractions is how she gets started and keeps her focus, and I do like that about her, however it does not mean that finding the love of her life is not "the right thing" for her either...when it's right. I like that about her too.
Like you said...reading it gives the whole story. I hope that if you do, you enjoy it!
