It's March already! We're coming out of the winter slump, and luckily, we've all had books to keep minds sharp, so feel free to tell everyone about what you've been reading!

Michael (michaelgloversmith) | 4 comments I'm now reading THE WILD PALMS, which is my sixth Faulkner novel. He gets my vote for America's greatest author. The way he intertwines two unrelated stories here -- taking place ten years apart in the same location -- is genius!

Jillian (jilliemae) | 35 comments In March, I finished "What Makes Olga Run?" about a ninety year old woman who runs marathons, and how she's viewed as basically a medical miracle. The author cites a plethora of studies supporting exercise in older age, and how the notion of the golden years and the rocking chair are relatively new concepts. He describes how in ages past, older people exercised regularly and didn't live sedentary lives. This book does a good job of changing (American) culturally held stereotypes of senior citizens.
