Uglies series by Scott Westerfield

I don't know if I am alone, but I really loved Pretties and liked it better than Uglies. I felt that Uglies was half exposition and it took forever to get to even the rising action much less the climax... Pretties, however, since you already had everything set up, it was action and tension and conflict, right from the beginning and I just felt that it had more suspense than the first...

Did anyone else feel this way too?

(I will say that in both Tally sometimes drive me crazy!!)

I like the first three books. Specials gave Tally a harder edge. But once they got to the fourth book, well the newer characters kind of lacked something.
