David | 2 comments Grrr I just got done typing my first review and hit wrong key and lost it just my kind of luck.

Ok well hmmm to start again if you liked Hunger Games then you will think that is kiddie play to this book.
To me our hero/anti hero since he is flawed in his choices by what has happen to him and what he does, but he learns from it. To me this is like a Sci/Fi version of Jorg (Prince of Fools) another book I highly recommend.

The hero Darrow you learn is a very gifted person running a driller in Mars. They are told that their sacrifice is that one day their kids or grandkids will be living on Mars and not in the earth of Mars.
Which we find out is out and out lie. He then looses his wife in a way that makes it tuff on anyone to deal with. After this lost he wants death but instead is given a new life one he then chooses for revenge and hate but in the end it is love of his wife and her yearning for good that motivates him. To say what Katniss does is nothing compared to what awaits him in his trial by fire. I can not wait to see how this will all play out who is with him who is against him to the end what betrayals will happen and who will die in the next books.

I put it on my to read shelf. I don't know if I will read it soon though, i've been sucked into so many incomplete series and I hate the waiting. I might give it a go though what's one more right?

One question is it a cliffhanger ending or is it suffient to stand on it's own? For example A Game of Thrones ends in a good place enough questions for the series but wraps up enough to be good. But a book like The Blinding Knife just ends in the middle of the action and you want to scream WHY????????

I'm going to add it to my read list. I just won an ARC of Half a King by Abercrombie. I'm excited for that!
