Fast Food Nation question

In the book, one of the founders of McDonald's (Ray Kroc) says that he "will make conformists out of them in a hurry...the organization cannot trust the individual ; the individual must trust the organization". How does it make you feel when these companies that want the individuals to trust them have news released about the truth behind their meats or the astonishing truth about what goes on behind closed doors.
