A girl sneaks out of house to go to a party with her best friend. She gets drunk and is raped by 4 boys. They ask their friend to help cover it up and he puts her in an abandoned house and sets it on fire. Another man saves her. The 4 boys get into a car crash and one dies. While her and the boys are at the hospital one of the boys tell their father who is the doctor what happened so the father destroys all the evidence. The girl remains in a coma so they man who saves her is charged and put in prison. The girl wakes up while giving birth and has no memories of what happened. Her mom tells her she eloped and her husband died in a car wreck putting her in the coma. She has nightmares that doesnt make sense with the story and eventually learns she was raped and the man is in prison. She can't leave the house because of her nerves and lives with her mom. At some point her mom died. She drives her son crazy with this behavior. Her only contact with the outside world is chat rooms where she starts private messaging one man. Her son is also pming this man and he convinces the boy to runaway and live with him. The woman and her landlord (I can't really remember his role in the book) go after her son and it turns out to be her home town. She runs into her ex best friend and when she asks to see a picture of the boy thats when the mom finds out the man in prison isn't her rapist since he's black and her son isn't. It turns out the man they have both been pming is the boys father since he's the only one that raped her vaginaly and he is now paralyzed from the car wreck. He found out what happened to her after his dad passed away and he finds that his father had been sending money to the woman's mom then the woman all this time. One of the rapist become a clinical doctor to help people because of his guilt. The fourth one killed himself. The friend who set the house fire comes back to try and kill her before she can tell what she's found out but the father sacrifices himself to save her. I believe at the end she ends up with her landlord.
