Megan O'Russell I think it would depend on how she did it. Does his death save the world, or is it just sad? That would be the difference for me.

Gabby I like that she chose not to go through with it.

sim It would've been the best decision ever!

Rachel Paige Hamlin I'm happy she didn't kill off Ron. It would have added something to the book, depending especially on exactly when and how it was done. I think it defiantly would have shown that not even the trio was safe. That part would have made the rest if the book more intense. However, Ron was one of my favorite characters and I have a strong feeling I would have chucked the book at a wall had he died.
Yes, his death would have made the book more intense. However, I'll sacrifice a little suspense for him to live.

Anthony Farshaw Well, that would have been a big improvement. What has Ron ever brought to the trio, other than his chess skills in the very first book? Nothing but bickering and jealousy. Hello Ron, your "best friend" is only famous because he survived an attack from a madman who killed his parents! You really think that's something to be jealous of? With Ron out of the picture, Harry might have worked harder to face the threat of Voldemort instead of complaining there's not that much fun without Ron. He'd sort out his priorities and become a much stronger wizard than he is in the canon.
