It makes my day knowing that someone other than me in Pakistan has read the lunar chronicles or the shadowhunter chronicles. Though I'm in the middle of Cress currently. I just can't find people interested in fantasy around me anymore. And the blame goes to exams. Ahh!!
But sadly I don't own any physical copies of the lunar chronicles because Cinder isn't available in any bookstore that I go to while the rest of them are and neither is cinder available online.

I dig ya! Believe me. And you are right, the stars on the books don't really matter. It is sad but nowadays you can buy good reviews, or get them through contacts if you know the right people and i find that quite disillusioning which is why to me readers matter more. I'd rather listen to an honest comment by a real reader than a pseudo-critic making the most confusing comments on any book. Why don't you add me on wordpress or facebook? In fact yeah, just add me on facebook. :) you will see i mess with neurons :D
The Witness is a wonderful book. But I think High Noon and The Collector by Nora Roberts are even better. I'm amazed how good and prolific she is.
Talk Nora Roberts and I jump into that conversation(even if I'm uninvited).I went through a phase when I read only her books.She is still my safe heaven and whenever I am going through a reading slump,I pick up a romantic suspense of hers:-)
You are lucky that she writes so much Ayesha.She is a terrific writer. Specially her newer works are incredible.
I can relate to what you are saying but Nora Roberts doesn't write about specific personalites.And I think that is her strongest point.She doesn't has a so called formula,Secondly she knows what she is talking about.Even her books written in the eighties are well researched.
Yup, she is not formulaic. She is very diverse. Romance is not my favorte genre but she has become my favorite writer.
Guys i need some book recommendation. I have decided to switch genres this year and move away from light chick lit to something more dense intelligent and serious. Without losing the interest streak of course ;)Any suggestions?

Thanks saad for the recommendations. I just checked them out! And all of them are largely self help books. Particularly focuses on people with jobs. And I m still very much a student! :DI was thinking along the line of Malcolm gladwells work, etc. any more suggestions? Thanks!

@Aida Have you read The Denial of Death by Ernest Becker?If you are into fiction and want to read something interesting, then read The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath. It's based on 99% on her real life and how she became suicidal. She was one of the greatest poets of all time and did kill herself.
@saad already read it! Loved it thoroughly!@adeem wow great recommendations there! Just searched them up and they have incredibly high rating. I got particularly interested in denial of death book. That's the kind of theme I was looking for. Non fictional and very true to life. The other book might have a depressing angle to it so I might avoid it for a while! But thanks for the suggestion! Keep them coming if you have more! :D
The Denial of Death is a great book indeed.There is also Interpretation of Dreams by Sigmund Freud.
The Power of Your Subconscious Mind by Joseph Murphy, The Artistry of Milton H. Erickson, M.D by Milton H. Erickson. I have not read them yet but heard they're good.

OOO I am loving it. I am reading on the kindle, am about 60 percent done. LOVE that I have more book to go! I get attached to characters (as bookworms do) and love a good long read!

Yes I read your review. You should try books called the Clifton series by Jeffrey Archer. Six books are out (I have them all in ebook version if you want them) and they basically span a family dynasty through 100 years I believe.

@MeshalYou're right! I can totally understand because there indeed were moments where I wasn't too thrilled to know what happened next owing to the fact that there was way too much detail around some characters..

I'm reading To Kill A Mockingbird right now and I just saw that it was January's book of the month. Loving it! I'm also reading The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain and it'[s pretty good too.

Just finished reading "the wrath and dawn" and "never let me go" they were both 5 Star worth books. currently i am re-reading miss pergerine's home for peculiar children. Wolf wilder, the art of war and the only game in town are lying in my tbr shelf.
I just read the wrath and the dawn twice in two days. BEST BOOK EVER!!!!!
