3. Zoe Rivas
My sweet messy daughter. As soon as I saw Zoe on Next Class (because that's what I started with rip i know) I knew she'd be the bitch to steal my heart and she did. 4. Bianca Desousa

I would like to say Holly J is my baby but she's way too cool for that, so I'll just say that she's my #1 motivator when I don't want to do homework or go to school. I hope she's doing amazing at Yale and working on her campaign to become the Canadian president.

6. Drew Torres
Oh, Drew. The quintessential fuck boi. I'm honestly not sure why I love Drew so much (tbh part of it is because Luke Bilyk is,, really fucking hot) because in Season 10 I hated him, but as soon as S11 hit.. it was a goddamn free fall. Drew! took! the! blame! for! Anton's! murder! He was the best big brother to Adam ever! He made it through his PTSD! He made lots of dumbass decisions but he always came out better for it! King of Character Development!!

7. Manny Santos
My first love from TNG, honestly. My homegirl's been through lots of ups and.. real bad downs, but she pulled through and became a famous actress and singer with a Grade A boyfriend! What kinda goals! love u manny

8. JT Yorke
Honestly, I struggled with liking JT in the middle seasons because he turned into kind of an ass... but when he stopped being an ass, oh god. King of Being a Good Man. u deserved better honey

9. Emma Nelson
Ever since I saw Emma wearing dolphin pants, I knew she'd be my fave. She's also been through a lot of shit and didn't always handle it in the best way, but I loved that about her. She tried and she cared and she bit back when people hurt her and she was real. Emma and Sean are together in a better universe.

10. Lola Pacini
I'll be real honest, I did not like Lola even remotely in DNC 1 and 2. I thought she was annoying and ditzy and shallow and a waste of storytime, honestly. But DNC3 oh my GOD, my GIRL. She finally showed some depth and some feelings and some true character to her and now I love her and support her and I hope she finds a good guy (or girl, pls degrassi writers pls make her bi) that treats her right the way she deserves

A small note:
Please do not call the LGBT community the LGBTQ or Queer community. I've had different opinions on this in the past, but I think I've finally learned enough to have a strong opinion and stick with it.

Queer can be a useful label to some people, but for many (including me) it is a hurtful slur that we do not want to be stuck on us without our consent. I hear the word 'queer' thrown enough around at my school, kids calling boys queer for touching other boys or being visibly upset over anything, and girls being called queer for having short hair, and other bullshit like that, that I don't care if someone is trying to use it in positive way. It's a word that makes me, and a huge amount of other people, feel unsafe and yucky. It's a word that is used to inflict shame and hurt.

So, please, just don't use it. Don't use it unless you are absolutely sure the person you are referring to is comfortable with you using it.
