Will Traynor knows his motorcycle accident took away his desire to live. He knows everything feels very small and rather joyless now and he knows exactly how he's going to put a stop to that.

What Will doesn't know is that Lou is about to burst into his world in a riot of colour. And neither of them knows they're going to change the other for all time.

So, I've started reading this and right now I must say I'm not the impressed, after finishing the first 4 chapters. The beginning is slow. The chapters are incredibly long and they are testing my patience.
As a main character I don't really like Lou. She's a little selfabsorbed and not that bright. Well, she is just a waitress after all, but I was hoping for her to be a more interesting character than Sookie Stackhouse.

What do you guys think?

Yeah, Murakami is a particularly hard author to follow, but at least when I start his books I know what I'm getting myself into XD.

Chapter 6: still kinda bored and she's still kinda annoying. Get to the good part already!
Also, it seems that the only reason her boyfriend likes her is because she has big boobs. So far, this seems to be her only quality. :(

Better than what's coming. She lives in an average neigbourhood, living in an average family and she has the education (no education) to show for it. This character frustrates me.
Despite the fact that she keeps insisting that her sister is the bright one, she is not, she's just a better money-digger than Lou...

Actually, I can't find a single decent character in this book. So, Will, the one who's dying, is pretty much the only one I can feel sympathy towards. (hide spoiler)]

What was the author thinking to create such unpleasant characters?

Edit: at least the title is fitting, Me before you, because that's how everyone in this book thinks like XD.
