I'd love to see Sou read Mills and Boons, even I gag at them :P
@Ishita You're gonna make Sou read eroticas? O_O

Pride and Prejudice would be the best don't you think?? :P :P

Sure.. let me check and I will get back to you.. Read them so long back that I don't remember half the titles.. :)

and you got 1000th
*High 5*"
Yayy! Sou is not the only freaking lucky one cause I didn't intend to make it happen either :D:D

In one of the harlequin novels I read, the heroine actually tells her husband "We're pregnant." ROFL

She and Jins both :D
If i have to read romance *sigh*... I'd prefer classics.. :|

1000th post gone!
Damn the Android app! >:(

Not in bold :P:P:P

@shin- ofcourse, anytime. :)
BTW, have u read Wuthering Heights ? It's dark and all but it's beautiful. The best book I've read and my favorite. I love that book and have read it over and over again. Maybe we can Buddy Read it sometime :)
@sri- lol, yess :D Fong's suggestion of Jane Eyre isn't bad either ;)
@ipshi- lol, I knew ! Maybe now we should make him read those only.
@sou- can u imagine reading a book even ipshi squeaks at ? XD

I'm a sucker for classic romances
Sou - you can't have everything :P:P"
I haven't read MANY.. but I'm planning to :3
@Ishita not really! though i am trying hard. :|

Also you can join Varsha and me ... we are reading Anna Karenina...
@Sri Mills and boons is on another level really... All the heroines go "sigh ! I'm melting" whenever they see the heroes( who are basically jerks with hot bods and sexy smiles), it's disgusting to see women being portrayed as so vain :|

@fong- not sure wether u were talking to me or ishi about the classics :P

Ishita wrote: "@ipshi- 'we're pregnant' that's a saying. A lot of people say that even in real life :P"
IKR! :P
IKR! :P

As I was saying earlier.. its the new crop of M&Bs that are like that.. not the really really OLD ones... those OLD ones were the reason why you have a Romance genre so popular today!! :)

Sure, I am gonna re-read it again for the June Monthly Challenge. Join me :)
Or join Sri. Whichever u like :)
@sri- do get back to me with those recommendations. And do tell me about David Coperfield and the other one too :)

All credits go to Sou for being the catalyst of this discussion :-):-)

Have you read the older Harlequins? Harlequin Romance and stuff like that even Desire in some cases.. they have good books.. Feisty heroines, great heros and a good amount of romance and story... Some are even based on classics, i mean the story part.. good ones..

@shin- no Tolstoy ? O.o
He's amazing.
@ipshi- oh that reminded me. Since u're such a romance fetish, u should try reading John Keats. I never read any of his books but I've heard of him and do plan to read him. He's regarded as one of the most embraced romantic novelist of all times. :)

@ipshi.. aren't they?? I used to love them as a young adult.. Now of course have moved on completely... but they still have Romance as their main factor and not sex... which makes them good reads :D :D
@Ishita I've read a LOT of his poets, in fact he is my favourite poet(in tie with Shakespeare) :D
