We had moved to a new town and our house there was under construction. So we stayed in a rented house. My mother once told my sister (i was at college) that she once saw a woman in the backside of the house. But she didn't pay much attention and ignored it.

So there was this lady who used to live in her building and it is said that she once stepped on it and a spirit actually took her over. She started behaving all creepy and weird and scary.
Idk what happened to that woman I just know that there was this rumor in the building and it really used to creep me out ! I'd always insist on climbing up the tree but my mom and Nani and Mami would always say no and I'd always get mad at them for this. So that's when they told me about it one day !
Now once when my mother was at the owner's house, she saw a photo of the same woman. Apparently she was the first wife of the owner who had died a long time ago in house that we lived in.

O tere ki!

This makes me wonder if all those "incidents" they show on TV saying they're all based on true stories are infact based on real stories :\
Ishita Not all are true, and sometimes the shows embellish the real facts, but I've heard so many accounts, first-hand accounts, that I can't say I'm a non-believer.
@Ishi that reaction made me laugh! XD
One of my cousins told me that once when he was coming back from a marriage with some friends, a brick suddenly came from behind and fell down in front of them. And when they looked around no one was in sight. He said there was a cremation ground nearby.
Sorry I was in the other group.
@Sou I've heard of similar incidents, though not any first-hand account.

@Ipshita yeah.. it has something to do with black magic.. :|
@Ishi no.. first they thought that some friend is joking around.. but that did not seem to be the case..
Okay I'll tell the other story. You see after all that happened in the old building, my buaji fell sick, there was a bad case of 'nazar' involved. According to her, that made her all the more vulnerable to dark energy.

And she tells me to not get worried over small things :(:(:(

She wants to take humanities, but her besties are gonna take commerce, so she's worried they'll drift apart :|
I mean, she's like my sis, and I love her a lot, but sometimes its just.. weird. and she tells me to not get upset over little thing, can you believe it?
The British used the island as an isolated prison, the cellular jail was called kala-pani. Thousands of prisoners were tortured and killed there, its one of the most haunted and cursed place.

:O

The Brits used to do hideous things there !
So when my buaji went there on a vacation, she took a trip around the jail, there's a well in there where many people jumped into death. She kind of really got close to the well, later we get to know that it was the well from where the dark energy started following her.
@Ipshita you sure? my brother visited Kala Pani in feb.. he doesn't know about it being haunted.. but yes many prisoners did die there..

But then what about all that black magic of the tenants ? And the daughter-in-law ?

I know Ishi, but my buaji's always been kind of a dare-devil.

Buaji told me that she started feeling ill after that and felt as if her body weighted her down. Then the strangest thing happened. While at the airport, she crosses path with a fat lady, this lady was also returning to Kolkata and she told my buaji that they had to return earlier than planned because her son had fallen sick, and they wish for himto return back home as soon as possible.
The lady gave my bua her name and also told her where they live in kolkata, and (this part I don't remember well, but I think she pointed out her husband to my buaji) then they went their seperate ways. When in the Kolkata Airport, my buaji came across that husband , she asked about his wife and son then.
