Rating Errors

Seems to me, HP and the Deathly Hallows is having a hard time figuring out its average ratings. Right now its average across all editions is 5.00 and its average for the version I read is 5.35... Huh?

I've noticed that for a number of books - how is the average rating more than five stars for anything? I figured it was a glitch being worked out...

Hi all,

Average ratings are cached each day, and recalculated each night. It appears they sometimes get slightly out of whack during the day, but usually get corrected at night. I checked out all the popular versions of Deathly Hallows and all looks well, so hopefully this is the case.

Not anymore. As Otis mentioned, it's a caching issue and usually temporary.

It does still show an avg rating of 7.5 (at the bottom)

other reviews (showing 1-1 of 1) All ratings | 5 stars (5) | 3 stars (1) | avg 7.50

at the top it shows:
avg rating (all editions): 5.00 (4 ratings)


It should be 4.66. the last rating was July 08. The caching issue should have resolved itself.

I have seen this often and it is somewhat annoying.
