SOLVED. Children's book about a dog who caused mischief in the family's trailer. [s]

When I was younger I read a book in my elementary school library it was one of the first books that got me into reading. It was about a dog (and no not because of winn dixie, marley and me, or shiloh) the dog caused mischief in the families trailer and one of the parents had wanted to get rid of the dog. On the cover I believe was the families trailer with a chose line with sheets hanging with purple paint all over them (possibly dog prints) I cannot remember it the main character was male of female. I also believe either the dog or the main character had an odd name like pippy(but may be wrong about the name I was 8 at the time).

oops sorry auto correct I meant clothesline. It was a chapter book. I believe I read it around 2008-2010 I don't know when it was published and I don't know if it was new or old at the time.

(But I didn't even search! Easy to find however when you do.)

I added it to this list of Dogs -- children's/young adult fiction. Which is not complete (you can find oodles more on worldcat for example).

I didn't know it was such an unknown book only three other people on goodreads have read it.

I wouldn't go by how many people list it on either site. Many people who have read it are not even on goodreads or librarything or any of those other cataloguing sites. Many people have not ever had access to the book -- it depends on whether their school or public library ever had it, or if they ever got it new or secondhand, etc.

I have seen quite a few little-known books asked about on forums such as this, however. :) Some books just stick in your memory!

Goodreads skews very recent. A lot of people only rate or add the books they read since they joined Goodreads. Not at all uncommon to see some big bestseller from 1985 for example, with 50 ratings here.
