Me too! Sometimes I use a Pandora station because the new lyrics give me something to think about
It depends...Usually when I'm writing I have like music on quietly in the background, but sometimes I start humming along and I get distracted.
But sometimes my characters are doing something that directly relates to music (for example, once I wrote a new take on an opera's plot) so I put that on and use it as an idea.
Other times, I use music as inspiration. Once a piano concerto gave me an idea for a plot :)
Ok... hmm... (I mean, lyrics inspire me too)what does this piece make you think of? (I know it's long - you don't have to listen to the whole thing.)

Journey andqueen. A little Taylor swift. Some Rise against
Shuffle it UP! I always listen to music while I write and if I'm not playing a specific album I hit the shuffle button
Yes, most of the time. I have playlists for my characters, for my characters together, and for my books.

Me too!
Me too!
I have music playing in the background when I write all the time. It helps me think of cool ideas. I love listening to Chasing the Sun by the Wanted, Macklemore- Can't Hold Us and Want U Back by Cher Lloyd. My fav. songs to listen to when I can't think of story ideas!
I mostly have suspense music on while writing.
