Jasmine Is anyone else curious in reading Beh's POV? I don't know if I would be bored with the exact story in her POV, but I do want to know what she went through and what was going on in her head. Novella maybe?

Angie **loves angst** There were certain parts that I would've absolutely love to know what she was thinking. It would be nice to get her thoughts especially in regards to Ehd.

Jessica I agree. I don't think I'd want to re-read the entire story from Beh's POV but there were parts that I was dying to know what she was talking about or what she was feeling in regards to certain situations with Ehd. I can't believe how sad I was at the end. I mean they had a life they carved out together with their children and the absolutely loved each other and yet...I couldn't help wanting them live forever. *Sighs* ahhhh... but I guess that is what makes it such a pretty love story. :)

❃**✿【Yasmine】✿**❃ I would have loved to have known too, but it could be a very sad book from her POV. She cried a lot, i imagine she missed her family a lot too, could get rather depressing. I like the idea of a Novella though, going through the highs and lows.

Pamela I'm sure we'd all have loved to read her POV, but considering how much we all loved this novel, Ms. Savage made it work with just his POV. I don't know if many other authors could've pulled this off.

I personally can't handle reading novels that are devoid of dialogue, that are just full of descriptive words, but again since the novel was written so well, you don't even notice it.

~*~Princess Nya Vasiliev~*~ Yeah there were moments when I was dying to know what she was thinking & feeling, & sometimes saying. Especially since Ehd was always sayin how her "strange noises" made his head hurt LOL But once I got to the ending & then the epilogue, I totally see why we never got her POV. And I think because of that epilogue, the book works even better without her POV. So I was more than pleased with how this one was executed. Ms. Savage pulled it off. I agree there aren't many authors who could do it.

Natalie can someone please tell me what was in the black box or container left behind by Beth's dad? It's driving me crazy!!!!!!!!

It contained all different types of things in it, from the future/or our present. The things she would get out of there were different items. Things she may have needed to use such as BC etc.. among other things.

Thank you!!!!

Melodie I really hope there will be a book with her POV and I'm pretty sure it won't feel like rereading the first book because with Beth she will put words on everything Edh saw, plus I have the feeling that the are still some unanswered questions on the story ! Like what happpened between Beth and her father ?

Jacqueline What an incredile story line - I couldn't put the book down. I was certainly mesmerised by Ehd and Beh. I think in the black box there was also a photo album for Beh to remember her family and her past.

Pauline I only finished this book yesterday and I have to confess that reading all these messages has just made me tear up again. I don't think I could handle reading Beh's POV. It's just too sad. What a beautifully written story. Ms Savage, well done.

Shauna I just finished and I think the story was perfect the way it was. I think the epilogue gives the reader enough perspective to be able to stand in Beth/Beh's shoes and have a pretty good understanding of who she was and what she was thinking without needing explicit dialogue to that affect. Because really, the reader (in many ways) is Beth...a modern, evolved human who is totally out of her depth. And I think I connected so much to this story because I was able to fully understand Ehd while, to some degree, still living vicariously through Beh.

I don't know if I'm the only one who feels this way, but my connection to the story is based very strongly on the way it was told, and if that were to change through a Beth/Beh novella, i fear my love for it would change as well.

I agree. This is exactly how I feel & felt while reading it. And I don't need anything to add to or take away from the story that was given. It's excellent just the way that it is.

citrine I have just finished the book and I loved it so much, i am normally one that loves pov's and novellas but I think this is just perfect how it is, and to me it would ruin it.. Still sniffling a little from the ending. :)

message 17: by Anne (new) - rated it 5 stars

Anne I would love to read Beh's POV too.. I think it would be more funnier. While reading I was kinda wondering/imagining Beh's reaction or what probably she's saying when she's having hard time explaining herself.
But it's all good.. I really enjoyed it.

Maryam becky i would loooooooooooooveeee the whooooole book in her point of you

Crossfire OMG Beh's POV will be such a good idea. This book did all kinds of things to me and I would love Beh's perspective!!!

message 20: by Jais (new) - rated it 5 stars

Jais I really liked this book. There were some parts where I would have appreciated Beh's POV. It worked, anyway. It was a whole new experience. The epilogue was a nice touch. I thought it kinda explained a lot about Beh's perspective.

Shirley I would love a book from Beth's POV. It would be really good to get in her head.

Michelle I'm completely torn about whether I want a Beh POV novella or not. I LOVED the book as is, it was just amazing and I was so emotional by the end, I almost forgot to read the epilogue. Wow, glad I found it and read it. It did answer some questions, just enough to complete the story of Ehd and Beh but also enough to make me curious about Beh and what her POV would be like. Maybe it's best to leave some questions unanswered. But then again, I'd love to know more. I guess I'm good either way... but if Ms. Savage decides to write a novella for Beh, I have no doubt that I'd read it!

Cem73 As for myself, i would like to read Beth PoV :-)
There is one thing that i didn't understand toward the end : why did Beh cuts her arm ??

Tamanna Ashraf I would love to read the story from Beth's POV. Although I guess the point of writing from Ehd's POV was to show the frustration of not understanding each other's different modes of communication

Adriana Fuentes Cem73 wrote: "As for myself, i would like to read Beth PoV :-)

She didn't cut her arm, I'm guessing it was birth control, the one that's inserted into your arm.

Adriana Fuentes I finished reading this over the weekend, and completely loved it!!I don't know if I want Beh's POV, but how about a dictionary where we can really know what Edh was seeing. Not knowing what some stuff where kind of drives me crazy.
That thing she carried, with pictures, that had to be a book with the plants she could use right???

Sparkle I just finished reading and I can't write a review yet. I'm speechless...overcome with emotion. That almost never happens with me. I have a great capacity to empathize and am often moved, but never cry. Not over a book or a movie....until this book. It should be noted that I tend to avoid sad tear jerkers. But this story is moving, not sad. To stay on topic, I would love Beh's POV. I often wondered what she thought and would have LOVED to read her conversation with her father.

Thank you, I think so too. I had that doubt.

Tamanna Ashraf Yes I have always wondered what Beth said to her father. I also want to know what Ehd and Beth's children thought of Ehd, their father who couldn't communicate with them.

Wow. Goosebumps.
I would like to read Beh's POV. I think it will not be boring because Ehd and Beh has a different perspective to tell. And I wanna know what's running on Beh's mind in this whole story. I wanna know more about what she thinks about Ehd. =))
The Epilogue that she had a POV on was not enough, for me it's mind-blowing. WELL DONE MS.SAVAGE!! =))

Sparkle As I mentioned earlier, I would love to have Beh's point of view, especially when her father came...both times. I'd love to read that dialogue.

At first, I thought a novella would be sufficient but I could see a full novel which includes additional scenes and/or emphasis on different aspects.

Problem being, should Ms Savage tamper with perfection (or very close to it)? Can it compare to what has been written or what we imagine?

I think it would ruin the awesome perfection of the book in the way it was executed, if we got Beh's POV. Even though there were moments when we would have loved to be in her head as well, the fact that we weren't, didn't take away from the rawness of the story, what occurs & how Ehd tells it to us. We still felt as though we were right there with them. the emotion, confusion, all of it was very tangible with just his POV. And we could still see what Beh was thinkin & most likely feeling as well.

The epilogue we get through Beh's eyes, was more than enough for me, & helped to place her mindset throughout the novel, when thinking back on all that happened, before the epilogue.

I think it would ruin it if we essentially got the same story, but just in her POV. It wouldn't feel the same.

I've read stories from different point's of view, and I will agree they had a very different feel. Still enjoyable. In this case, the bar is set extremely high. I don't believe any follow up would taint the splendor of 'Transcendence', but it might pale in comparison. Probably best to leave it alone.

I, too, enjoyed the epilogue. It brought the story full circle and ended it on a positive note. It was kind of a prologue...placed at the end.

Yeah, they were found somewhere in Italy and they believe they belong to Romeo and Juliet.

Adriana Fuentes Romeo and Juliet??? huh.... I need to google that.
I hate coming to this discussion because every time I think about that scene when they die I feel like I want to cry....

Tana I just finished reading it and I can tell you I'm not an emotional person but I cried through over half the book. yes I agree reading Beh's POV would have been nice during the story. but not sure my emotions could handle rereading it lol...

Lindsay Are there any other books like this that you guys recommend?

Your response mirror's mine, exactly. I feel emotion but rarely cry....until 'Trancendence'. The purity and beauty of their relationship moved me to tears.

Shannon I finished this yesterday and I was really stumped as to how I felt about it- I laughed (desperate to put those babies in her! how loud she was), I cried- yeah that ending got me. But I don't know that I could handle an entire book in her POV, I would probably skip it. And I'm just not sure what I think about the epilogue...on one hand, yes we needed it to come full circle to see how/where it all started, but on the other hand- did we really? I'm just torn!

message 45: by Dani (new) - rated it 5 stars

Dani I don't think id want a Behs POV. I think It would take away from the beauty of the story already. Part of the appeal and uniqueness was the lack of dialogue, of being brought into the story and inserting your own understanding of what transpired and how Beh must have felt.

For me, just imagining the conversation she had with her father is an emotional bomb. The pain both of them must have felt. Putting in dialogue to events now may skew my perspective of what had to have been said for events to play out the way they had.

I can not reread this books or accept any more to the story or it will cheapen the absolute beauty I found in this love story.

~*~Princess Nya Vasiliev~*~ Totally agree, Dani. Well said :)

It would be so great if she put out a novella of Beh's POV. I would love to read it!

message 48: by Lexy (new) - rated it 5 stars

Lexy I would die if Shay wrote Beh's POV. The reason that I would abruptly drop dead at such a young age as mine is because I would have nothing else to live for. Dramatic? I think not.

I need this book.

message 49: by Amy (new) - rated it 5 stars

Amy I personally would love her pov. I want to know what what was going through her head all that time!

Twilla Wickedly Sweet and Synful Book Blog I would love it if she wrote a book with both of their point of view. I was so frustrated because I didn't know what was going on! If not if half of the epilogue was made a prologue. I did enjoy the book
