Around 2006 I was looking through the bargain bin in front of a Books-A-Million and found a novel set in Greece during the last days of WW2 about German soldiers trying to flee from partisans. They were in a wild, marshy area where there was a local legend about a large boar. Does this ring a bell with anyone?
