I had never read a graphic novel before and figured that one by my favorite author would be a good start. While I didn't love it nearly as much as the short story format (which I also had never really read before), I did enjoy it. This was definitely just an introduction to the story but I plan on reading the remaining volumes here and there.
Locke & Key tells of Keyhouse, an unlikely New England mansion, with fantastic doors that transform all who dare to walk through them. Home to a hate-filled and relentless creature that will not rest until it forces open the most terrible door of them all...
I also want to comment - to anyone who enjoyed the comic - I went to a Q&A panel with Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez over the weekend (brag - I met them both, they were awesome) and they said that Audible is releasing an audiobook version of the Locke & Key series. It has me really curious. It's being released in October, and - as of right now - you can pre-order it for FREE.
