§†êl͓̽l͓̽åꝈนຖå (fallaciousgod) | 2208 comments Yes! Alright, so I read the books of course and thought some of the characters didn't get enough recognition.
My idea was to to take a few steps back to the first revolution that district 13 began.
The idea would actually follow the character Mags and her gang of rebels. They take great part in the revolution but are defeated when the capital blows up district 13. This being done, they are then forced to evacuate to district 4.
I know that's a very tough and bland outline but if you have any suggestions that would be awesome.
^^ I'd like to play Mags if that's alright. And if you wanted a romance, I'm open for having even more characters.

ϻαđίѕσи ~ I'm gonna be free, and I'm gonna be fine, but maybe not tonight | 2506 comments Hmmm, yeah I like the idea of going back to the first rebellion. I think that it's an interesting idea :) I think that it would work well to do doubles for this and have the three OCs be apart of the rebel group and maybe some of them are close friends of Mags, or they only just meet her when they are escaping or something? We could also have a bit of romance with more characters that way if you want romance in it.

§†êl͓̽l͓̽åꝈนຖå (fallaciousgod) | 2208 comments I will make 2 more characters then, including Mags. Romance may come into play within time.
I think the setting could start in district 13 where rebellion is already underway. Our characters may be joining or already apart of the act.

ϻαđίѕσи ~ I'm gonna be free, and I'm gonna be fine, but maybe not tonight | 2506 comments Alright sounds good :) So should we make characters now then? How detailed do you think they should be?

§†êl͓̽l͓̽åꝈนຖå (fallaciousgod) | 2208 comments Mhm. I don't think they should be insanely detailed. Name, appearance and whatnot. We can include a short bio of their typical behavior and where they rank in the community if you want.

ϻαđίѕσи ~ I'm gonna be free, and I'm gonna be fine, but maybe not tonight | 2506 comments Okay :) You can post yours now and I'll just do mine however you do yours.

§†êl͓̽l͓̽åꝈนຖå (fallaciousgod) | 2208 comments {Name: Atticus }
{Age: 19 }
{Gender: Male }
{Appearance}

{Bio}
Atticus is not one to argue. He has a caring heart but is firm in his beliefs. As a boy he lived under the hand of his firm father, always ready to throw him to the wolves.
His father was in fact a peace keeper. The man hated district 13 and hated Atticus.
He is quick to sacrifice himself for others and could never be described as selfish. Some would describe his behavior as though he was a beaten dog.

§†êl͓̽l͓̽åꝈนຖå (fallaciousgod) | 2208 comments That was incredibly short actually, sorry. You can make yours longer if you want.

ϻαđίѕσи ~ I'm gonna be free, and I'm gonna be fine, but maybe not tonight | 2506 comments Alright! He looks good though :) I'll get mine up soon!

ϻαđίѕσи ~ I'm gonna be free, and I'm gonna be fine, but maybe not tonight | 2506 comments Here they are! Sorry it took so long!

~Name: Mara~
~Age: 20~
~Gender: Female~
~Appearance:~

~Bio:~
Mara is usually a friendly and passive person, but can be deadly when threatened, or when someone she cared for is being threatened. She grew up the middle child of five children, but was the only one to survive to adulthood. Her parents were good to her, but both passed away recently as well. Mara is truly alone in the world and knew that she had no real future ahead of her, or at least not one that she wanted to live, so she joined the rebellion. She doesn't hate the Capital as much as some of the others do, but she does believe that they need to be brought down.

~Name: Ky~
~Age: 19~
~Gender: Male~
~Appearance:~

~Bio:~
Ky has always been a quite guy. He isn't shy, he just prefers to keep to himself. He never knew his father, and his mother was a slut, always seeing a new man each week it seemed, so Ky was really on his own most of the time anyway. He grew up in the poorest and absolute worst part of town, and no one ever thought anything of him. He grew up thinking that he was worthless, and he still thinks that way. Ky joined the rebellion because he just wanted something to do with his life. He knows that if he dies, at least it will be worth something.

§†êl͓̽l͓̽åꝈนຖå (fallaciousgod) | 2208 comments {Name: Cud }
{Age: 9 }
{Gender: Male }
{Appearance}

{Bio}
Cud is a pretty smart kid for his age. His contribution to society had him climbing into small spaces in nuclear equipment to fix wiring and make any repairs needed. He is an orphan but rejects all pity. He's got some bite and calls out anyone or anything that doesn't seem right. He's heard rumors of the rebellion but doesn't speak of it, despite his wish to join.

ϻαđίѕσи ~ I'm gonna be free, and I'm gonna be fine, but maybe not tonight | 2506 comments Oh was I supposed to vary the ages of mine? Oops :/ I was basing them off of how old you made your guy.

§†êl͓̽l͓̽åꝈนຖå (fallaciousgod) | 2208 comments {Name: Mags }
{Age: 18 }
{Gender: Female }
{Appearance}

{Bio}
Though with a tough appearance, Mags has a hard time taking everything seriously. Her passion is strong and she gets work done, there has to be some comical relief on the way. Though her attitude can be foolish, she knows when to stop and can be very tender if responsibility is placed on her. She is a natural leader and ruthless if needed.

§†êl͓̽l͓̽åꝈนຖå (fallaciousgod) | 2208 comments Oh it doesn't matter. Sorry it took me FOREVER. You can make your characters whatever ages you want. :)

ϻαđίѕσи ~ I'm gonna be free, and I'm gonna be fine, but maybe not tonight | 2506 comments Okay, well they're up already, so I'm just going to keep them the ages that I made them :)

§†êl͓̽l͓̽åꝈนຖå (fallaciousgod) | 2208 comments Cool. This is kind of a go-with-the-flow rp, so do you want to start first or shall I?

ϻαđίѕσи ~ I'm gonna be free, and I'm gonna be fine, but maybe not tonight | 2506 comments Umm why don't you since it's your idea. I'll just follow your lead :)

ϻαđίѕσи ~ I'm gonna be free, and I'm gonna be fine, but maybe not tonight | 2506 comments Umm why don't you since it's your idea. I'll just follow your lead :)

§†êl͓̽l͓̽åꝈนຖå (fallaciousgod) | 2208 comments It was a foggy, mucky day- most chose to stay inside. In a more rural town like this, not a lot happened; people tended to keep to themselves and work, of course, took most priority of people's lives here.
There was an expected downpour and people trotted along the clay roads to find shelter. Most of the time it was hot and dry and preparing for rain was rare.

Cub pulled his grease stained shirt over his head and rushed for shelter. His assigned bunk was all the way across town. The rain would begin before he got there. Fortunately the market place was near by. Made someone would by him a hot drink if he stuck out his bottom lip far enough and gave them the teary eye.

Atticus trudged down the road in his boots, clutching a sack of gun powder. His father would kill him if he found out Atticus had ruined all the gun powder by staying out in the rain. Better safe than sorry. Either way, he'd likely be in trouble, rather it be for wet supplies or being late to his destination.
He shuffled into the market place. Most of everyone has closing up now. No point in selling if you only came to a mountain of mud where your home used to be. He knew a man who was always in the market though. The man's name was Elmse- he sold tea and remedies. The man was also known to have a great despise towards the capital.
Atticus could hear the rain begin to come down heavier on the metal room that covered a majority of the market place. I should be safe here.

People quickly covered their roofs with scraps of metal or anything else to keep the insides of their homes dry. With such advanced and modern work most of the people did, building nuclear weapons and collecting graphite, they still lived primitively, living in homes made of clay in the middle of dry land.

Mags took off her gloves and heavy belt, setting it on the counter. "Long day." She said, taking a stool and pulled her fingers through her hair. "It's about to get really loud in here." She said, hearing the rain on the roof. She sat at the bar in Elmse' small shop. He took place in the market with four walls made of lumber- few were able to say this sense most venders were only divided by curtains or nothing at all.
Else stood behind the bar and shook a bottle of cactus juice, "Ohhh yeah." He said.

ϻαđίѕσи ~ I'm gonna be free, and I'm gonna be fine, but maybe not tonight | 2506 comments Ky cursed under his breath as the rain began. He had been sitting on the ground carving designs into a small piece of scrap wood with his knife, away from the center of town and away from all of the people who had been going about their business. Ky just simply didn't like people very much. He didn't like how loud, and irritating, and nosy they tended to be, so he just kept his distance.

Unfortunately, now that the rain had begun, he couldn't distance himself any longer. He knew that he had to go seek shelter, and he most definitely didn't want to go home. Ky knew that his mother would be there with her most recent lover, a large man by the name of Canton who Ky took a particular disliking to. He knew that he would have no choice but to go to the market for shelter.

Ky walked quickly, hoping to beat the crowd of people who would no doubt have the same idea as him. He had no money, as always, and only hoped that he didn't get kicked out for not buying anything while he waited for the rain to stop.

Mara had been in the market all day helping a friend sell fabrics for clothing and quilts at her little booth. It was the only way that she made any money when she wasn't working on the assembly line making nuclear weapons. When the rain began, her friend whose name was Vex, decided that she ought to get home to her family and left Mara to watch the booth on her own since a lot of people would be coming into the market now that the rain had began, and it was a great time to sell some things.

Mara waved goodbye as her friend left and sighed to herself as she began to lay a few new fabrics out for display. They didn't have very much to sell since textiles weren't an easy thing to find in District 13, but there were still a few bland fabrics to choose from.

She sighed again leaned against the little table that the fabrics were displayed, feeling bored and lonely, though that was nothing new.

§†êl͓̽l͓̽åꝈนຖå (fallaciousgod) | 2208 comments Cud scrambled his way into the market. People bustled their way around like ants as they packed up shop or took advantage of the people looking for refuge due to the rain. He was suddenly sandwiched between a couple of people, one moving a heavy box of good and the other just smelled unpleasant.
"Hey! Hey!" Cud squirmed and pulled himself from between the two. He took off running, further into the market. He soon spotted what looked like a nice girl, laying out fabrics at her booth. Perfect.
He slowed his run a little and pretended to not know where he was going. At the right moment, Cud purposefully tripped on Mara's foot and fell face first onto the ground. He sniffled, shifting to sit on the ground and looked at his busted knee.
Of course Cud hadn't hurt himself there. Earlier that day he'd gotten to close to a man with a blow torch and hot shaving of metal got to him. He looked up at Mara, completely pitiful- and convincing at that.

"How was your day?" Elmse said as he placed a bottle in front of her. Alcohol was the drink of choice, considering it kept well and clean water was more useful for hygiene uses.
Mags scratched her nose as she eyed the bottle, "Oh. You know. Greasy." Greasy may have just been the best way to put it, she smelled greatly of sweat, and any other kind of engine fluid. She worked in a large metal warehouse on the edge of town with many other people there. There they assembled weapons and other forms of mass destruction, though Mags herself was an engineer, not any sort of scientist.

Atticus walked through the market. In account of his father being a Peace Keeper, most people who knew him avoided him- and in a town like this, most of everyone knew most of everyone. His feet shuffled as her looked around and clutched the sack of gun powder. Nothing interested him, even though he had more money to spend than most. He quietly took himself to Elmse's bar where he sat at the end and ordered a drink.

"Anything else?" Elmse said after serving Atticus his drink.
"Well if you're talking about the rebellion..." Mags began.

Obviously neither knew who Atticus was, or at least didn't care. He sat stiffly, perfectly able to hear them; the 3 of them being the only ones on the shop besides some guy in the corner who looked to be totally passed out.

"Keep your voice down." Elmse snapped, shooting her an ungrateful look.
Mags laughed, "I'm just foolin'." She took a big drink from her bottle.

§†êl͓̽l͓̽åꝈนຖå (fallaciousgod) | 2208 comments (I can change that part with Mara if she wasn't in a position to be in his way. I just imagine she was setting up fabric while standing outside the display where people were walking or something. ^^ )

ϻαđίѕσи ~ I'm gonna be free, and I'm gonna be fine, but maybe not tonight | 2506 comments (Nope the part with Mara is just fine :) I'm replying now!)

ϻαđίѕσи ~ I'm gonna be free, and I'm gonna be fine, but maybe not tonight | 2506 comments Mara was still standing by the booth when suddenly she felt something hit her foot. She looked down just in time to see a little boy falling over her foot and flat on to his face. As he got up and sat on the ground looking up at her with a convincing look of sorrow on her face, Mara looked back down again, deciding to play along at first even though she could tell that he was only trying to play her. It was clear that he easily could have avoided tripping over her foot, but instead he had walked over it on purpose.

"Oh you poor little thing, that was entirely my fault, wasn't it? Are you alright?" she asked in a convincingly concerned tone as she crouched down to his level on the ground. Once she was there, she kept the worried expression on her face for a moment longer before she looked him in the eye and smirked a bit. "You know, I used to do the same thing when I was your age, but you're much better at it then I was, you little con man," she said with a small smile and a hushed voice so that only he could hear her.

"Now, be straight with me and tell me what you want the money for," she said, getting straight to the point. It was clear that this clever little boy dealt in terms of business, so Mara was willing to do the same. If he had a good reason for doing his little act, maybe she'd be willing to spare a coin or two for him. Maybe.

Ky entered the marketplace, hating how it was already crowded with people. Being in large crowds like this, crammed into the small aisle between the vendor booths made him feel very claustrophobic and he knew that he needed to get to somewhere with less people.

Eventually he made his way further back into the market where there was a bar. It seemed oddly quite, no drunken brawls or yelling going on. Just three or four people sitting at the bar and having a drink, talking quietly. The setting seemed idle to him compared to anywhere else in the loud and bustling market.

Almost cautiously, he took a seat at the far end of the bar, away from all of the other who were sitting there. He noticed that the bartender seemed distracted, so he just hoped that he wouldn't come over and shoo him away for not buying anything. Ky just wanted a semi-quite place to wait out the rain.

§†êl͓̽l͓̽åꝈนຖå (fallaciousgod) | 2208 comments Cud was convinced he'd done a job well done till Mara shut him down. He looked up at her, totally shocked. This act always worked!
He listened to her proposal and contemplated his choices for a moment. "I was hoping to get a drink." He said truthfully.

A moment later he had the idea to ask for something more- something more expensive that he could use the money to buy even more things with. It was too late now. What a jerk. Cud tried not to think spitefully of the girl. She seemed to be fairly reasonable, even after she recognized his little trick. It was in his best interest to be kind to her.

Mags glanced over, seeing Ky sit at the bar. She'd seen him once or twice before; it was even likely she'd called him by his name once- but he registered nothing in her mind and she continued her conversation with Elmse.

Atticus eavesdropped from the other side of the bar as he rubbed his fingers against the smooth glass of his bottle. He hated drinking, and hated drunk people even more. Nevertheless, it was necessary, and there were much more important things to complain about.

"No, I don't think anything had really been decided yet." Mags muttered, leaning close to the bar as she spoke to Elmse. She paused as a couple of more people ordered drinks and took their seats.

Wow. Rebels. Atticus sipped his drink. He wanted to move closer to hear them better. He'd heard of the rebellion though never spoke a word of it. He had no one to talk about it with anyhow.

"Than what had been discussed?" Elmse spoke to her privately as he continued to put the money for the drinks under the counter.
Mags shifted her belt and gloves more neatly on the bar, "An attack. On the Capital. They already know we're unhappy. They just don't know we're going to do about it."
"What about a strike?" Elmse said as he tapped the bottle, having her drink more.
"District 2 is right around the corner. More than likely we'll just be overrun, beaten..." She drank a bit more and sighed, "No matter what we do it's all going to be nasty."

ϻαđίѕσи ~ I'm gonna be free, and I'm gonna be fine, but maybe not tonight | 2506 comments Mara smirked a bit when she saw how shocked the kid was that she had seen right through his little trick to try and win her pity and her money. When he said that all he wanted the money for was a drink, she decided that it seemed like a worthwhile cause. She didn't know how bad off this boy was, maybe he didn't even have parents, or any family at all for that matter. Maybe he was all on his own in the world, just like she was.

"Alright then, I'll tell you what, you and I will go get a drink together then," she said to him, standing up and quickly putting all of the fabrics away into the locked chest that Vex stores them in overnight so that no one stole them.

"But you better be greatful, buying for the both of us is probably going to cost me a weeks pay," she told him, half joking and half not because what she said was true, but she didn't want to overwhelm the boy with such details. He was probably much worse off than her and she truly was happy to help him. Mara loved kids, and this one in particular reminded her of her little brother who had died when he was ten. Once the fabrics were all put away, she looked down at the boy. "You coming, then?" she asked, waiting for him to follow her.

Ky could hear the bartender and the girl not too far down from him discussing a rebellion, though it was hard to hear them well since he was so far away. He did find this kind of discussion surprising, for he hadn't heard any talk of it yet. After all, being quite most of the time allowed him to hear just about everything about everything, but he'd heard nothing of a rebellion until now.

Sure, there was the standard talk of how much everyone hated the Capitol, but that was nothing new. Now he wished that he was closer so that he could hear better, but he knew that it would seem too suspicious if he were to actually get up, so he simply strained to listen.

§†êl͓̽l͓̽åꝈนຖå (fallaciousgod) | 2208 comments Cud shifted to his feet and watched carefully as the girl packed away shop. He thought that, maybe if it replied on a code, he would be able to get into the chest later. As the girl spoke he slowly averted his eyes. She really was being good to him.
He pushed his hands in his pockets and looked at his feet, "Thank you ma'am." He blubbered after she expressed that they would get a drink together.
She caught me! Cud was completely beaten and was having trouble dismissing the fact. He looked up quickly as she called for him. He quickly took to her side and rubbed the back of her neck, supposing conversation was in order. "'Name's Cud by the way."

Mags took a coin from her bend and held it between her fingers to pay him with, "Strikes ever work well for you Elmse?" She said.
"I'm the only one who works here. You mean a boycott?" He said, reaching for the change.
Mags suddenly pulled her hand from his reach and smirked, "Yeah. One of those."
"Can't say I've ever been boycott. Now give it here." He waved his hand for her to give it to him patiently.
"How about a kiss first?" She teased.
Elmse snatched the coin from her hand and gave it a kiss. He then placed it under the counter and continued to wash bottles as they spoke, "I don't think The Capital would ever boycott their only weapons district."
Mags took a sip of her drink and laughed faintly, "No, I don't think they'd ever do that either."

Atticus watched the two till he realized he was staring. Time to get closer.
He quickly downed the rest of his drink. Ew. Ow. Oh. Uh... He gave a small cough, feeling the back of his throat burn. Steadily, he got over and walked over towards the center of the bar where Mags sat. He sat down, a couple of stool away from her and tapped the bar, "Do you have any water?" He asked Elmse.
"No, but there's plenty outside." Mags laughed in response and finished her own drink.
Atticus tried not to roll his eyes as Elmse gave a small chuckled, "No, sir." He said.
Most people kept a cistern at home, but here he would have to find water elsewhere.
"Than another." Atticus said.

Elmse supplied Mags and Atticus with another bottle of booze and continued to speak, "How's the family holding up?" He said.
Mags gave a shrug, "Fine. I guess. Haven't seen 'em in a while."

ϻαđίѕσи ~ I'm gonna be free, and I'm gonna be fine, but maybe not tonight | 2506 comments Once she was satisfied that the boy was following her, Mara started heading through the crowd of people towards the bar, which was really the only place to get a drink of any kind. She just hoped that there wasn't a bar fight or anything like that going on, seeing as she was about to take a little kid there.

Mara looked down at him when he introduced himself, thinking that his name was a bit strange, but it seemed to suit him. "I'm Mara," she told him as they entered the bar. She could see a few people sitting there, but it seemed as though most of them were minding their own business and none if then seemed too drunk, so she felt alright about brining the kid in.

Mara took a seat up at the bar next to an open stool where Cud could sit beside her, under her protection. "Hey Elmse, one for me and something for the kid here, when you get a minute," she said, seeing that the bartender seemed busy at the moment.

Ky watched as a girl came in with a little boy, wondering why she was bringing him in here. He clearly wasn't her brother, seeing as the two of them looked nothing alike at all, and she was too young to have a son of that age, even if she were to have had him as a teenager.

This was what Ky did most of the time, sat in the shadows quietly and observed other people. He tried to work out things about them, tried to pretend like those things were true, as if he had known them for ages, because truly, he was a very lonely soul.

§†êl͓̽l͓̽åꝈนຖå (fallaciousgod) | 2208 comments Mags looked over as Cud took the seat between her and Mara. She gave a small laugh and rubbed his head, messing up his hair more than it already was, "What'd you do Cow Wash?"

Atticus' nose wrinkled. What kind of nickname is that?

"Did you cryyy?" Mags snickered as she teased the boy and sipped her drink.
Elmse sat down a couple of drinks on the bar for them, "It's on the house- for the boy." He assured Mara.
Cud hit Mags' arm with his small gist and huffed, "I tripped." He blubbered, not very thankful for her taunting.
"And she caught you?" Mags grinned.
Cud was ignoring her now as he sipped his drink and looked at it angrily.
"What a blow!" Mags laughed and pat his shoulder.
Elmse watched and gave his head a small shake. The little boy was truly a rat, that hadn't known him to be caught like that before, though it had to happen eventually.

As people entered the bar the bustle didn't get overly loud or exciting, most of them only wanted to get warm.
Atticus assumed the conversation of rebellion was over. This faintly disappointed him But the interaction between the girl and the little boy was somewhat comical. Stop staring. He quickly looked away.

Mags only glanced at Mara before going back to her drink. She knew who she was, but only through Vex.
Mags knew Cud well, considering they worked together. She knew of the tricks he played, but she wasn't one to stop him. He was paid only with a bed he had to share and a small ration of food a day. Cud didn't know what Mags' home was like- she was always working.

ϻαđίѕσи ~ I'm gonna be free, and I'm gonna be fine, but maybe not tonight | 2506 comments Mara knew that Elmse didn't need to give Cud the drink for free, but she gave him a thankful smile for doing so anyway. She'd always known him to be a kind man, even though she didn't really know him too well.

Mara popped the top off of her own drink, not entirely sure what it was, aside from the fact that it smelled very strongly of alcohol which was to be expected. She took a sip of her bottle and glanced over at Mags as she talked to Cud, smirking and nodding a bit when she asked if she had caught him. "He thought he was so clever too," she teased. She didn't know Mags very well, and she'd only maybe talked to her a few times, but apparently Cud knew her well.

Mara took another sip of her drink, noticing a man sitting further down the bar staring at them out of the corner of her eye. It appeared that he was trying to listen in on their conversation. She knew who he was, Atticus, the son of the peacekeeper who everyone talked about.

For some reason, probably against her better judgement, she decided to call him out. "Hey, you know, you're welcome to join the conversation. Or I guess you could just keep sitting there and staring at us, that's cool too," she said loudly enough for him to hear her, and smiled a bit to let him know that she was just messing with him, she wasn't really bothered by him staring.

Ky watched the conversation between the girls and the little boy and watched as the pretty girl with the short dark hair called out that Atticus guy for staring at them. Apparently he and Atticus were listening in on the girls conversation.

Ky averted his eyes, focusing on something else because he didn't want to be called out next. He hated having attention drawn to him.

§†êl͓̽l͓̽åꝈนຖå (fallaciousgod) | 2208 comments Elmse walked behind the bar and over to Ky, "Are you going to get anything? If the bar becomes packed I'm to have to ask you to leave." Elmse was not forceful or rude- no, that was uncalled for. He only expected Ky to order a drink if he would be sitting out the rain like everyone else.

Atticus bristled as Mara called him over. Soon he felt Mags and Cud's eyes on him as well. Mags seemed a bit more gruff than the other girl. Why do I have to sit next to her.
He got up slowly moving down a couple of stools and sat, "I couldn't help but hear your conversation. You've fooled me before." He spoke to Cud.

It was true. Cud grinned. The boy had once fooled Atticus, after bumping into him blindly then receiving some of his food out of pity.
"That was some darn good bread." Cud said triumphantly.
Mags laughed faintly, suspicious of this new character, "You've been in here for a while, what else have you heard?" She spoke to Atticus.

Atticus was distracted, catching a glimpse of Ky staring their way. His attention slowly came back to the others. He resided it was best to be frank, there was no beating around the bush on the subject of rebellion anyway. "I heard you and the bar tender speaking of rebellion." He said in a low voice.

Mag's eyebrows went up with faint surprise. He'd been eavesdropping much more than she'd expected. "Really now?" She said.
Cud shifted his shoulders a little, glancing towards Mara, wondering what her take on this was. He then looked back to his drink and tried to ignore their conversation. He needed take no part in this kind of stuff.

ϻαđίѕσи ~ I'm gonna be free, and I'm gonna be fine, but maybe not tonight | 2506 comments Ky looked up when suddenly someone was talking to him. He saw that it was the bartender, whose name Ky did not know on account of almost never coming to the bar. Still, he had known that he would be shooed away sooner or later before he had even come in, so this wasn't surprising to him.

"But I don't have any money," he said quietly as he got up from the barstool, "I'm sorry for getting in the way, I'll go now." He didn't exactly know where he would go, but he knew better than to stay someplace that he wasn't wanted. Then again, that was pretty much everywhere that he went, including his own home. With that, he started to leave.

Mara was actually a little surprised that Atticus had come over, but didn't mind at all that he was here. Unlike most people in the town, she didn't hate him. She didn't know him, and therefore believed that she had no reason to hate him, even if his father was a peacekeeper. That wasn't his fault.

She smirked a bit, finding it especially amusing that Cud had outsmarted him, and she wondered just how many people in the district he had used his little trick on.

She stayed quite for a moment sipped her drink as Mags and Atticus spoke, and when she heard them talking about a rebellion, she raised her eyebrows a bit. "A rebellion? Are you sure that you haven't been drinking too much?" she asked Mags, a joking tone to her voice, but she truly did think that the idea was crazy.

§†êl͓̽l͓̽åꝈนຖå (fallaciousgod) | 2208 comments Mags glanced over as Elmse talked to the boy. She would have offered to buy Cud a drink earlier if Elmse hadn't insisted. Buying the boy a drink would sooth her conscious, "Over here." She called to Ky, looking at him from over her shoulder, "I'll buy you a drink. Don't go out there."
The rain had formed to more than a sprinkle now and everyone had taken shelter. The market didn't crowd with too many people, though it was unpleasant and cold.
She paid Elmse again and he sat down a drink at the bar. If Ky didn't take it, she would.

Her attention was drawn back to Atticus and Mara, both seeming intent on the subject at hand. "I've been drinking but that has nothing to do with it." Mags said cheekily. "You act like it's a surprise. Of course there's a rebellion underway." She spoke privately to them.
She didn't know Atticus was any son of a Peace Keeper. The boy didn't seem like a threat anyway. With curiosity like his, Atticus seemed more like he'd fit in Cud's skin.

Cud on the other hand kept his head down. Rebellion was no discussion of his and he'd prefer to stay out of it. Despite the lack of spies or cameras, he didn't like to involve himself in such affairs. In truth, the idea scared him.

Atticus looked between them. It seemed as though Mara didn't know of the rebellion either. He'd assumed there was talk of course, but nothing actually happening in motion. It had to come some day. Is this girl all talk? He eyed Mags. She was obviously an engineer, given her body paint of greasy and various accessories. She was a bit weird looking to him with her hair cut like a mohawk and more muscle than he himself had. This other girl was gorgeous though... No. Not the time for checking out girls. He thought and quickly zoned back into the conversation.

ϻαđίѕσи ~ I'm gonna be free, and I'm gonna be fine, but maybe not tonight | 2506 comments Ky looked back when someone called out to him. He saw that it was the girl sitting at the bar who had been talking to the bartender about a rebellion, and now she was offering to by him a drink. Why would she do that? The two of them had never spoken once.

Still, he took a step closer to the bar and shook his head a bit. "Thank you, but I can't ask you to do that. You don't need to waste your money on me," he said quietly, always thinking himself to not be worth anything, especially other people giving him handouts. "Use it for something that matters instead," he told her, knowing that she could use that money to feed an orphan, so why use it on him?

Mara looked back over her shoulder at the guy who Mags was offering to buy a drink for, but then focused her attention back on their conversation. "Well, if there really was a rebellion and we took up arms against the Capitol, I'd tell them to hand me a gun," she said casually, taking another sip of her drink, "I'm as sick of it as everyone else is, but I still doubt that anyone here could actually successfully put together a rebellion."

She wasn't entirely sure of she liked the idea of rebellion in the first place. Sure, she would sign up to join, no doubt, but in her eyes, it could only end in disaster. If they were to pull this off, they would need all of the districts to band together, and there was no way that that was going to happen. She knew that most of them were mostly content with how life was and had no desire to start a rebellion.

§†êl͓̽l͓̽åꝈนຖå (fallaciousgod) | 2208 comments Mags rolled her eyes, "I insist. If you're fit on being noble about it, than here." She held out her half empty bottle of booze for him to take, "Finish this. Warm up a little." Mags didn't see to arguing with the boy anymore than this. She wished to pursue her kind deed, but the boy was being kind of annoying. Just accept it. She wanted to tell him.

Cud took the flint from Mags belt and began to play with it, making small sparks as he listened. "I'm a terrible idea." He blubbered, seeing no point in rebellion. His point was limited to this. Of course he didn't like the way things were as much as the next person, but fighting against The Capital would only cause chaos.

"Same here." Atticus said, agreeing with Mara. "But she's right. Nothing we could do would ever pull through. We make one dent in The Capital, then they take up out like ants." He said truthfully. He felt the conversation became intense- even as they sat in the bar on a rainy day. Panem was truly helpless against their leader.

"That's not the kind of attitude we need." Elmse said. "The rebellion is very real. It's about time things change for the better." He said. "Bite the hand that feeds you."

ϻαđίѕσи ~ I'm gonna be free, and I'm gonna be fine, but maybe not tonight | 2506 comments Ky sighed a bit as the girl didn't give up trying to give him a drink, and he knew that he wouldn't easily be able to get out of this. Slowly, he walked towards her and took the half finished bottle that she offered him. "Thank you very much," he said quietly, but doubted that she was even paying much attention to him anymore. She seemed far more invested in the conversation that she was having with the other people, and that was understandable. No one ever cared for Ky's company anyway.

He sat down again not too far away from the group, but far enough away so that he wasn't bothering them. He began drinking what was left in the bottle and listened to the others as they spoke.

Mara looked at Atticus, happy that at least someone here agreed with her that a rebellion would be a bad idea. Elmse on the other hand seemed to be the strongest believer in it, which struck her as odd for some reason.

"Bite the hand that doesn't feed you is more like it," she said, even though she knew that it only proved his point even more. She did agree that a rebellion needed to happen, which was why she would join if there was one, but she didn't agree that it could be successfully pulled off.

§†êl͓̽l͓̽åꝈนຖå (fallaciousgod) | 2208 comments After Ky took the drink Mags decided to leave him alone- unaware of his lack of socialization. She paid him little mind as her mind pulled back to the conversation at hand.

Atticus sat and contemplated the idea of a rebellion. It was a long shot, even though he knew very little about it.
He'd seen the way his father treated people, the way he so easily beat people for no apparent reason. Still, Atticus had little reason to hate The Capital. Then again, soon he would be shipped to District 2 where he would become a Peace Keeper like his father. He despised the idea and wished there were a way to avoid all violence. Of course he knew that was an unreasonable request.
"I want to join." He blurted.

This quickly caught Mags attention, "You? want to join the rebellion?" She snorted and sipped her drink. He didn't looked to be a real activist. "We'll take all we can get, this this isn't going to be any sort of parade. We've done that. It's serious now." She said.

The little town had heard once or twice of an incident like that. First there was a protest at the center of Distinct 13- of course they were flushed out and quickly forgotten, far from their little town. After that there were a few strikes- that's when Peace Keepers began to flood the place. Before they knew it a Peace Keeper was marching around the corner with a gun, everywhere you went.

"I dunno kid." Elmse said with a chuckled.
"Don't discourage him." Mags waved her hand dismissively at Elmse then continued, speaking to Atticus, "You bein' honest?" She asked.

Cud watched all this quietly. He considered leaving, though there was no where else to go.

ϻαđίѕσи ~ I'm gonna be free, and I'm gonna be fine, but maybe not tonight | 2506 comments Mara's eyebrows rose when Atticus blurted out that he wanted to join the rebellion. She was truly surprised by this, and she didn't really know what motivation he had to want to join, but still, if he wanted to that was his choice.

"Well if we're making an official sign up, then I'm in too," she said, shrugging a bit. She saw no reason why she shouldn't fight. After all, all of her siblings and both of her parents had died because the Capital didn't care enough about it's people to take care of them. Mara took a long sip of her drink, only hoping that she wasn't right about an attempted rebellion ending in chaos and death, most likely her own.

She looked at Atticus then, wondering if he would pull out when Mags asked if he was serious about wanting to join. Mara understood why she wood doubt his loyalties with his father being a peace keeper and all, but Mara got the feeling that he didn't care too much for his father, or else he wouldn't be offering to join the rebellion.

Ky kept listening to their conversation from where he was at, thinking that they were all insane. Were they truly going to try and start a rebellion when it was bound to end in failure?

As he thought about it though, he realized that even if they did fail, they might inspire some other people to try, and then maybe one day, someone somewhere would actually be able to overthrow the Capitial. Ky realized that he would be willing to die for that cause. He would probably die within a few years or so anyway from starvation on account of having no money, so what did he have to lose anyway?

Slowly he stood up and approached the group again. "I...I want to join too, if you'll let me..." he said to the girl who seemed to be in charge.

§†êl͓̽l͓̽åꝈนຖå (fallaciousgod) | 2208 comments Mags opened her mouth to continue the questioning of the two, when she found the redheaded boy standing behind her again.

Elmse gave a small chuckled, "It seems as though you've pulled together some new recruits." He told Mags. This wasn't much of a surprise to him- when such conversation came about, often would people be vocal.

"Well..." Mags was a little surprised they'd jump in on the spot. "You're in luck." She told them cheerfully, "We're having a meeting tonight in the bunker just outside of town. I think you'll be impressed with what we've done to the place. Names?"

Atticus was relieved by Mag's inviting nature. He knew he was bringing himself into danger but this may be the only opportunity for him to do good in his life- or anything of significance at that. "Atticus." He introduced himself, "My father is a Peace Keeper, I could easily give you information on..." His lips thinned, not sure what sort of information his father had, but anything to sound helpful to the cause. "Stuff."

Mags laughed faintly and looked to the others, "And you?"

ϻαđίѕσи ~ I'm gonna be free, and I'm gonna be fine, but maybe not tonight | 2506 comments Mara was happy that she didn't get questioned like Atticus had, or a weird look like the redheaded boy had gotten because it made her feel like Mags didn't have any doubt in her, whereas the guys seemed like more unlikely candidates to join a rebellion. She thought that it was nice that she let them all join instead of pushing them away and insisting that it was secret. Then again, she figured that Mags probably needed more supporters. Mara wondered just how many people she had in her little group already.

"Mara," she said when Mags asked for her name, knowing that she was definitely be there at the meeting that night. She took the last drink from her bottle before setting it down, and she honestly felt pretty good about this.

"My name is Ky," he told the girl who asked him, knowing that he was probably getting into more than he could handle, but he truly did want to join this rebellion. He wanted to do something for once in his life, even if it got him killed.

Plus, going to that meeting tonight meant that he wouldn't have to go home right away. He knew that his mother wouldn't care or worry about him, and he was also pretty sure that Canton would also be there. He was there almost every night, and Ky hated it.

§†êl͓̽l͓̽åꝈนຖå (fallaciousgod) | 2208 comments Mags stood and clipped on her bent, hearing the rain die down, "I'm sure the rain will only be worse later."
She was confident in these people, even though they may look weak, at least they seemed to have the spirit she needed. "At dusk." She told them when they should arrive to the bunker.
"Cud." She said, catching his attention, invited him to join her leave.

Cud looked up and stopped playing with the flint. He hopped off the bar stool and put it back in her belt as Mags finished off the rest of her drinks. "See you there." He told the others then trotted behind Mags as they headed out.

Elmse chuckled softly and began to clean their bottles, "Well, welcome to the movement you 3. About time you got on the boat. Nah, I won't discourage you. Just be prepared."

Atticus gulped, turning back in his stool and sipped his drink. He was nervous to say the least. He worried he sounded too committed. No. No backing out. I can do this. He glanced over at Mara then Ky. The boy looked even more squeamish than him.
This is the time to man up. He thought then slowly sat up right. Grow a pair. Do something. Oh god. What have I gotten myself into?"

ϻαđίѕσи ~ I'm gonna be free, and I'm gonna be fine, but maybe not tonight | 2506 comments Mara watched as Mags and Cud left, waving goodbye to them as they went. She honestly was excited for the meeting tonight. If this rebellion really was going to happen, she would rather be informed and apart of it rather than ignorant to the entire thing like most people in the district probably would be.

Ky noticed how quite the other two were once the girl and the little boy left. He could tell that they were both thinking about what they had just done, but it was hard to tell what either of them were feeling. Since he found the silence awkward and he didn't like just standing there like an idiot, he finally quietly said, "So, you guys scared or something?"

Mara looked over at the redheaded guy when he asked that. "Scared? Who's scared?" she asked, smirking a bit. Truly both of the guys looked uncertain, but Mars was really feeling good about this.

"Right," Ky said, shifting a bit, "Well I'm going to go see if there's any food to eat in my house before the meeting." He said, turning to leave. He didn't really want to go home now, but he also didn't want to hang around and have an awkward conversation with these two people that he had just met.

Mara watched Ky go, thinking that he was a bit strange, but she didn't judge him for it. "And then there were two," she said, turning to look at Atticus again, "Unless you're planning on leaving me here by myself."

§†êl͓̽l͓̽åꝈนຖå (fallaciousgod) | 2208 comments Atticus as the others left one by one. He then looked at Mara and said in response to her question, "Eventually I'll have to go. But not now. Hopefully the rain will let up soon and I can take this across town." He said and pack the sack of gunpowder rested on the bar. He was thankful for the girl's conversation, unfortunately he'd immediately forgotten her name and didn't want to ask her again.

"What's all that for?" Elmse said curiously, referring to the sack. Personal use of the gunpowder would come off a bit odd, even if his father was really a Peace Keeper.

"I move supplies around and take them where they are needed- a bus boy for the warfare plants." Atticus replied.
"So you travel a lot?" Elmse asked.
Atticus gave a small nod, "Yes. I've even gotten to see the inside to the nuclear plant- though I can't say I'd like to go back."

In their little town they didn't deal much with nuclear weapons. They produced more items of warfare such as planes and gun and other things of the sort.
His answer didn't surprise Elmse.
He looked over to Mara, "And what do you do?"

ϻαđίѕσи ~ I'm gonna be free, and I'm gonna be fine, but maybe not tonight | 2506 comments Mara listened as Atticus told about what he did. She decided that it sounded much better than her job, and she knew that she would mind running supplies around if she actually got to travel somewhere new sometimes. Living in the same little town for her entire life was pretty boring for Mara, not that there was anywhere else that she could go.

When she was asked about her job, she sighed a bit, thinking that the topic was quite boring. "I work in an assembly line where we make small handheld weapons. Mostly handguns, and stun guns," she said, not very entertained by it at all, "Then sometimes I hep my friend Vex sell fabrics in the market. It brings in a little extra money, which is nice."

She sighed a bit, hoping that this conversation got more interesting. She didn't mind listening to Atticus talk about his job because it actually sounded kinda cool, but Mara hated talking about her own job.

§†êl͓̽l͓̽åꝈนຖå (fallaciousgod) | 2208 comments "Vex is a sweet girl." Elmse commented. knowing just about everyone who sold in the market. "You better run along with that gun powder if you plan on getting it anywhere dry. I sounds like the rain is letting up, and I promise it'll only get worse later." He ensured/

Atticus listened to the rain for a moment, only hearing a light fall on the metal roofs above them. "You're right. I should get going." He said and carefully slipped off the stool with his sack of gunpowder. He was somewhat relieved the conversation was over- it wasn't as though he had anything more to add too it. His life and opinions in general were quite boring.

"Are you going to finish this?" Elmse asked, gesturing to the half empty bottle Atticus left on the bar.
"No." Atticus replied, "I'm not much of a drinker. Nice meeting you Mara. Elmse." He exchanged the bar tender a small nod before gulping and walking off.

Atticus nor the others really knew how in depth the rebellion really was at this point. He expected only maybe a group or 30 or so people to be huddled around a table in the old bunker- But oh, how he was so very wrong.
Later that evening he found himself, running through rain towards the edge of town. Elmse had been absolutely right on how the rain would only get worse. Looking up he saw the sun sink in the sky. Everyone was huddled in their homes now, bundled in whatever blankets and clothes they had.

The bunker was surrounded by old scrap metal just a ways outside of town. Atticus hadn't even bothered to give his family an excuse for his leave- they wouldn't have gone after him even if her did.

ϻαđίѕσи ~ I'm gonna be free, and I'm gonna be fine, but maybe not tonight | 2506 comments Mara smiled a bit and waved goodbye to Atticus as he left, deciding that she liked him, for she really had no reason not to. She took the bottle that he had been drinking from off of the bar and finished it herself, not wanting it to go to waste. With that, she said goodbye to Elmse and then left as well, knowing that there wasn't much time until the meeting began.

After stopping by her home, Mara found herself running through the pouring rain, a thin jacket wrapped tightly around her, though it really did her no good. She could see the bunker in the distance and continued to run until she reached it, pulling the door open and quickly getting inside.

She was soaked and found that she couldn't stop shivering from the cold, so she was happy to see that someone had set up a fire. Truly, she was amazed by the amount of people were already packed into the bunker and she wondered if the rebellion had so many supporters how she had not heard about it before today. Shouldn't these people be trying to get more supporters instead of hiding away?

Mara walked deeper into the bunker, but ended up going back and standing in the shadows against the wall instead of going up where everyone else was. She saw a few of her friends sitting together and talking, but at the moment she had no desire to join them. She was tired and, and wet, and freezing, and feeling kind of sick due to drinking more alcohol than usual earlier, though she wasn't drunk. Mara just wanted the meeting to begin so that she could get what she'd come here for, the facts.

§†êl͓̽l͓̽åꝈนຖå (fallaciousgod) | 2208 comments Atticus entered the bunker soon after Mara. His eyes traveled through the large room. There were several doors that led into various chambers of beds- or that's what is used to be. He was starting to get some weird looks from people who knew him and his father.
He quickly shuffled over and stood besides Mara after spotting her, "Well, there are a lot more people here than I expected. I wonder if more are coming."

"Alright, it's starting to get crowded, lets move into our bigger room!" Someone called. Soon a couple of doors were pushed open and people began to travel through.
Atticus got up and followed the others as instructed. When walking through the door he was given quite the shock to find how actually huge the bunker had gotten. There was the sound of construction as people hung on ropes and clung to large pieces of metal. The bunker was being made bigger, in the shape of a giant cylinder beneath the ground with chambers sprouting out with housing and other needs.

They were brought into an even bigger room with metal stools and tables. Atticus staid close to Mara, the only person there he really knew.

ϻαđίѕσи ~ I'm gonna be free, and I'm gonna be fine, but maybe not tonight | 2506 comments Mara looked up when she saw Atticus coming towards her. She thought that it was strange for him to seek her our in the crowd when they had only really met a few hours ago. There had to be someone else that he would rather be standing and talking with, so she figured that he must have a reason for coming to talk to her.

"Yeah, there's way more people than Mags made it sound like there was. She made it sound like they hardly had anyone on board with this," she said, walking beside him as everyone went into the larger room. She sat at one of the tables on a stool, leaving the the stool next to her open for him since it didn't seem like he had any intention of going off to sit with someone else. Mara wondered why he thought that she was special.

It was quite between them then, and Mara felt like she should say something so that it want awkwardly silent, so she said, "Does your family know you're here?" She didn't realize until after she'd said it what a bad idea it might be to ask that of him with his father and all, but for some reason it had been the first thing that had popped into her mind. "Nevermind, you don't have to answer that," she said, looking down a bit and taking it back.

Ky wandered into to bunker after everyone had moved into the big room, so when he got there, he went through the small room first and then to the big one where his yes widened at how many people there were. For a moment, he forgot why he was even there. Instead of sitting down somewhere, he stood off by himself against the wall, simply watching everyone and everything happen like he always did.
