This is my first post here, I don't know if I'm in the right place, but I hope I'm.I have created a duplicate edition to a book, here: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...
I was trying to create a new edition to add it to the series, as the existing one isn't apparently linked to it, as well as the next two books from the series, and missing all the books after that, so I wanted to add the books to complete the series, but seems like I couldn't add the edition I've created to the series, and now seems like I can't even delete this duplicate edition I've created, so can someone please delete this duplicate edition I've created? I don't want it to occupy space in the site.

It was originally the most popular ed. that had no ISBN & description, but I shifted them so this one could be merged.
382 Is done by someone else. Books are added to a series by editing the series page. (There was not really a need to move the data, the most popular edition could easily have been merged into the other edition.)

true - that is exactly why I posted in this thread in the first place. I do have librarian privileges myself but not of the Super kind. ;-)
btw, in case you ever come across it again - if a duplicate needs to be merged with the default/most popular edition, it needn't be separated from the rest :-)

Yes I combined them and I actually mean to merge them. So I need a superlibrarian's help for that. Thanks for the correction!

Please do not move data from one edition to another that is against GR policy. If editions need merged please post here and do not make modifications to the editions first, that really makes things more complicated to look through.

#418 - I did some checks on the other images, and if I were to make a guess the one without the ASIN is an older cover and the one with the ASIN is a more recent cover. Probably should not be set as the same pub date, so I changed the pub date of the one with the ASIN to the month the record was created, and marked the other as an ACE.

#421 - Since they are the same book, but different Author names and covers, I added the other Author name as primary, since GR policy states that the Author name a book was originally released under needs to be primary. Then I combined them, not merged them (due to cover and author diff).
Duplicate: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...Should be deleted. French editions already in the library with the proper author order as it appears on the cover and have been merged with the original English edition.
