Grace Meredith (koreantrash) Wow, even the synopsis doesn't make any sense. But my mom adores this one, so I guess I'll try it at some point in my life.

Bana AZ (anabana_a) | 414 comments Chapter 22 makes everything clearer. Some people have actually read that first before going to chapter 1.

I didn't do that so when I read the book I was mostly a bit confused, but I was enjoying the strange humor nonetheless.

Jean Cole (joc724) | 115 comments Absurd is right. Absurd is kind of the point of this book. It's one of those you think about afterward.

Erica | 214 comments I couldn't get through it the first time I tried a few years ago (I gave up long before Chapter 22) but I read it again for the challenge (title with a number) and loved it. It's very weird but that's what makes it so great.

Deana (ablotial) I absolutely loved this book - it was a favorite of my mom's so I read it in high school initially and a few times since then. It's always made me sad how many people seem to give it poor reviews. Glad to see so many people here enjoyed it!

Marina | 272 comments I read it earlier this year, but I think I have to read it again at some point. I found the book a bit confusing with all the different characters and some times lost track of the story, but at the same time I really enjoyed the humor and sarcasm. I didn't love the book, but I didn't dislike it either. After a re-read maybe I'll be able to make up my mind!

I wish I had known this--I chose this book for the "book with a number in the title" week and put it down after about 50 pages, as I just didn't get it. I didn't find it that funny or interesting...this is probably why I avoided it in high school haha.

Jessica | 225 comments I am surprised I ended up liking it as much as I did, I think it was the tone shifts and the humour. There were a few parts I disliked about it, but they were more additives and at the same time they were important to the Yossarian's epiphany near the end (the one he has in Rome).
Weird, just weird, but I guess I liked it.
