The 2016 Reading Challenge will continue the concept of this year's challenge, with 52 weekly topics. Users then choose a book fitting each topic in order to complete the challenge.

How polls will work:
The topics for the 2016 RC list will be determined through 13 mini-polls. Each user will vote for their favorite 4 topics in each mini-poll, which will then add up to the 52 topics (13 polls x 4 topics/poll=52 weekly topics).

Fifth poll:
Voting ends August 5
- Voting for the 4th (short suggestions) mini-poll is still open. Since the themes are different than the normal polls this shouldn't interfere with this poll.

Rules:
- One vote per poll per user

Survey Link

Longer explanations of some of the topics, including "Best of May" lists, can be found in the Suggestions thread.

The current running list of themes can be found in the first post of the Announcements thread.

There are around 5 suggestions I'm not really interested in and 10 I want very much! I hope the batch will be more satisfying for me this time :)

I also had a hard time narrowing down my picks to a top 4.

This year I did this challenge plus the A-Z Challenge but I think next year I'm just going to build a larger challenge out of some of the suggestions. I have plenty of great ideas to use!

Adriana Pereira (adrianacecilia) Wow this is going fast!

message 5: by Charity (new)

Charity (faeryrebel78) I had a hard time choosing my top 4 as well. There were about 10 from this list I really liked. I ended up starting with the bottom as there were 5 I had no interest in and then tried working my way up. It took a couple of revisions but I finally made choices.

Grace Meredith (koreantrash) OOOOH, we had some good ones. LOL

No problem :)

I'm just happy to see all the participation from the group. It's exciting to see the list coming together!

Peter Awesome job on the poll again!

There were a few I really like, and a few I really disliked in this group. So far I'm liking the way the list is coming along though.

Jennifer Barstad (maidenoflight) I also had a hard time choosing my 4 because there were only 3 I did not like at all, lol.

Francesca | 391 comments These are getting harder and harder to narrow down to 4 choices! The suggestions are just getting better! Luckily, with batches like this, I think most people are going to be pleased with whatever makes the top 4.

Katie Scott | 3 comments Thanks for coordinating this Laura! I might not comment often or put suggestions in but I try to vote regularly and I am excited to participate next year!!!

message 13: by Kelly (new)

Kelly Decoteau (kjdecoteau) I took the survey and when I clicked finish I didn't get a confirmation. It just took me to the surveymoz website. Not sure if my vote counted!

Kelly, it's normal, we don't have confirmation either, but the votes are counted :)

Yes, that's normal, Kelly. I'm not really sure why it does that since I choose a confirmation message when I create the survey...

I can put a short message about that in the topic for the next poll. I was actually planning on doing that and totally forgot.

Thanks for voting! :)

Katie, I'm also getting excited to participate next year, especially now that the list is coming together!

It will be a lot of fun to start picking books in December :)
