Hi there,

I really need some help here... People keep addding my 16 books of Verhalen uit duizend en een nacht to several different series the books just don't belong to.

I can't seem to reverse this addition, or delete my book from a series it shouldn't be part of, without deleting the complete series someone else made. Which is what I've done sometimes, by the way, as it is ridiculous to call one single book a 'series' (they combined one of my books with theirs, just because the volume number happens to be the same).

I'm truly sorry for complaining, but it is just so very annoying...

These are 'my' 16 books, all published by the Dutch publisher Kadmos and forming a 'series' of their own:

Maybe one of the superlibrarians can solve this problem of 'my' books being part of the wrong series, and maybe add a message or something, preventing people from combining these 16 books with other editions, as other editions are just not the same...

I'll take a look.
At first sight, there are al least multiple editions of "your" books, combined with other books.

Adding a librarian note might help, although even librarian notes tends to get overlooked or ignored sometimes.

PS: best to start a new thread next time, as this one is linked to a specific book.

Also noted that numbering is "part of 16".

There is a 16 volume series of One Thousand and One Arabian Nights,
It is likely that those editions match the Dutch 16 volumes series. According to Goodreads policy, those should be combined.

You're right about volume 16. Sorry :-) And thanks so much for your help!

It looks like you're right about the other 16 part series, as the number of pages of my volumes almost match the number of pages of one of the older editions, and so does the name of Mardrus, the person who translated the original work into French (not into Dutch though). My Dutch edition was translated from his French work.

I tried combining 'my' series with the series you mentioned but can't as they are not on the same page. You're most welcome to give it a try, if you like?

Combined the Dutch editions with the other editions of the 16 volume works.
Also separated some editions that did not belong to a 16 volume, and added the correct editions to the 16 volume series page. Also separated a graphic novel/manga.
