Science fiction is something that could happen - but usually you wouldn't want it to.

James Corkill | 28 comments I’m James M. Corkill, and in my stories, it does happen.

In episode one of the Alex Cave series, DEAD ENERGY, our nation’s oil supply suddenly begins to disappear. The protagonist, ALEX CAVE, is a geophysics instructor at a university in Bozeman Montana, who happens to witness the first phase of the vanishing oil. He is also ex-CIA and advisor to the Director of National Security. Alex and his friends must deal with two antagonists. A radical survivalist, JOHN EVEREX, who preys on the naiveté of innocent people desperately seeking protection from the ensuing breakdown of social services until he is thwarted by Alex and his friends. And MENNO SIMONS, a man obsessed in his determination to stop mankind from destroying our environment by using his advanced alien technology.

In episode two, COLD ENERGY, global warming and advanced alien technology threaten to force humanity into another ice age. Once again Alex Cave is thrust into a situation with unheard of weather events on a global scale, and un-natural earthquakes. On his quest to find the cause of these destructive forces and figure out a way to stop them, Alex and his friends must deal with modern-day pirates, hidden treasure, and betrayal.

James Corkill | 28 comments Hi again, Flo. How am I doing in my roll on the soap opera? I'm hope I'm meeting some new interesting women. Or am I portraying some awful person? I hope not. It would be bad for my real kind and gentle personality.

T4bsF (Call me Flo) (time4bedsaidflorence) Sorry James - Brookside finished years ago - shame really - I quite enjoyed it. You're ok though it wasn't you that they found buried under the patio!! lol

Whew! That's good to know. So that was the name of the show. Thanks. That lady I met in Liverpool had told me, but I was so infatuated with her and her accent that I had forgotten the name. I really enjoyed the people I met traveling around Great Briton. That was the last leg of my four month tour of Europe. I stayed at bed and breakfast lodging the entire time. I quickly learned that no one over there knows how to make eggs with runny yokes, but it was all fun.
