Oops. I've been forgetting to post here. I've read 3 already, and enjoyed them all:

Poison Study, 3.5 stars
City of Fallen Angels, 3 stars.
State of Wonder, 4 stars

Even though I only signed up for 3, I like several of the others my teammates chose for me, so I will probably read more.

I read Six Mornings on Sanibel by Charles Sobczak. This book had more depth than I expected and would have fit well on this month's shelf. I gave it 3.5*.

I finished my book. I listened to the audio of Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins. I really enjoyed it and can't wait to listen to the final book of the trilogy. I must, however, finish Sycamore Row for my real life book Club for mid-March before I can start another book.

Catching Fire: I give it 5 stars. The books are written for young adults but are captivating to listen to for young or more mature adults. With both the Hunger Games and Catching Fire I found myself caught up in the story and the character's lives and struggles very quickly. Well done! I will watch the movies next.

Finished two more books:

- 4 stars. this is such a great series. It is amazing how much trouble Harry can get into.

- 4 stars. A good if disturbing plot. Unfortunately, the characters are not likable.

I finished People of the Book and gave it 3 stars. Just started the audio version of Game of Thrones and am awaiting Burial Rites from the library. I should have my three completed by the middle of March.

Lauren - Dresden in my favorite series. It is amazing how much trouble Harry can get in!

As for Kisscut - Is that the first one in the series you have read? I would stay with it, cuz they get better, and the Will Trent books that come after this series are even better.

I've read the first book in the series as well and really enjoyed it (more than this one) and I've also read the first book in the Will Trent series, which was absolutely fantastic. I will definitely be continuing with both.

I listened to the audio version with my husband and we both found it slow at times. The jumping back and forth between the past and the present bugged us a bit too. The story was interesting, but the execution was a bit lacking.

I wonder if the narrator did a good job. I read the print version and it is one of my favorite books of all time. But then, I liked the jumping back and forth, especially the way that the author had the main character find something hidden in the book, and that made the jump to the past. The thought of all the things that can be stuck in a book and the history that books hide really sparked my imagination.

Finished Burial Rites and gave it 3 stars. It was an interesting story, but it didn't move me in any way. I just didn't care about the characters enough to feel anything at the conclusion.

I finished Lord Of The Dance and gave it 4*. Andrew M. Greeley's books are always an enjoyable read. I kinda figured out part of this story before the end (the family relationship) but I did not foresee the choices each person would make when the truth all came out. Not a neat eading, but one that satisfied.

Finished my third book: A Game of Thrones and gave it 3 stars. It went on a bit too long for me, but it still kept my interest for the majority of the story. Not sure if I will continue reading the series, but I will likely watch the TV version.
