((It's okay))Shintarou was silently laying on the couch sleeping. He was curled up in a ball looking peaceful and younger. He snored lightly a blanket covering his lower half.
Rose yawned and rubbed her eyes, slowly opening them. When she saw the room, she let out a frightened yell, almost forgetting all of what happened the day before. Rose clamped her hand over her mouth and took a deep breath. Everything hit her like a flash of lightning. Shintarou. His parents. Everything. Rose's eyebrows sprang up-she was definitely awake now. She growled at herself, and sat up, groggily.
Shintarou woke up when she yelled and dashed into the door saying, "Rose!" He then noticed her sitting there and let out a relieved sigh running his hand over his face muttering, "Geez, Rose you scared me." He asked worried, "Are you okay?"
Rose blushed and looked down to her hands laying in her lap. "Yes, I'm fine." she simply stated, not wanting to explain. Rose sighed and pulled the sheets around her, hiding her figure. She bit her lip, realizing that she didn't have any cloths here except the dirty, muddy ones that she wore yesterday. Rose sighed, and looked up at Shintarou, feeling the slightest hint of surprised that he came running when she yelled.
Shintarou noticed her good looking figure and smiled hearing she was okay. He said, "Good... well good morning." He sat down on he bed laying down next to her closing his eyes and muttered, "I can't let you go to work today. We're going to call in sick, 'kay?"
Rose shrugged, a small smile forming on her lips. She was glad that she wasn't going to go to work-she hated it there anyways. Rose stiffened when he laid down next to her, and raised an eyebrow when he said we."Okay..." she said, pulling more blankets around her, though she wasn't very cold.
Shintarou asked, "So I really hate to do this, but I'm going to have to make you quit your job. I mean since we can't let my secret get out and you die and I might die too. It's better to keep you at home, so I can keep an eye on you. Don't worry though I'll provide for you. I know you rather be dead right now since you tried to commit suicide yesterday, but for saving you you kinda owe me now. Okay?" He took his hand gently squeezing it muttering, "Sorry." He then let go of her hand.
Rose growled, and yelled, "Seriously!!! Just because I HAVE TO be with you now, you're making me quit my job! Because of YOUR secret!!! You think that I CAN'T keep a secret! You have to KEEP AN EYE ON ME? I DID NOT ASK YOU TO SAVE ME! I do not owe you ANYTHING!" Rose sneered, pulling the blankets up around herself, glaring at Shintarou.
Shintarou growled before saying, "Well since you wanted to throw your life away I guess you really shouldn't have a say in anything anymore." He pinned her down on the bed hovering over her saying, "I don't want people to hurt you once people like me find out your a human, Rose. They will hurt you and me. Why do you think I have a scar on my eye Rose? They did this to me and I don't want that to happen to you." He looked at her actually looking scared for once.
Rose's face drained of all color. She did not like being pinned down. By anyone. "Get off!" Rose growled, turning her head away to hid her tears. She was confused and upset-a mixture of emotions that she hated. Rose squirmed out from under him, and turned her back towards him. "Why did they hurt you?" she asked, her voice monotone. Does he mean he's had another girl in his life before? Rose thought, completely confused and depressed.
Shintarou watched her seeing some tears in her eyes. He sat down looking a picture of hi parents saying, "There was a war in China when I was younger. I wasn't supposed to talk to humans back then, but I decided to join the war since I thought it was a good idea. I ran away from my home and joined our army. I then turned into my Dragon form during battle and the dragons found out killing everyone and cut me wanting remember I can't tell anyone that I'm a Draki."
"Oh..." Rose said, wiping away the tears in her eyes and pulling the blankets tighter around her. She blushed slightly, and hid her face. Why does everything weird happen to me? Rose thought to herself, shaking her head sadly. She growled at herself and sighed. "I'm sorry," Rose said to Shintarou, apologizing about everything that she had ever done to him. I'm just a horrible and selfish person... she thought to herself.
Shintarou shrugged saying, "Don't be sorry. I didn't asked to be pitied because I'm blind out of that eye now." He tilted her face towards himself and sipped her tears saying, "Don't cry. I hate seeing girls cry." He said softly, "If you really don't want to quit your job you don't have to Rose and I'll protect you even if I die, 'kay? So don't worry about anything. You're fine."
Rose got goosebumps out of nervousness, and pulled herself away from Shintarou. She pulled her legs up under her chin, the blankets still draped around her. Rose growled at herself, and rested her chin on her knees. "I don't want you to die!" Rose angrily mumbled, mostly to herself. Her hands curled into fists, and she wrapped her arms around her legs.
Shintarou raised his eyebrows surprised that she said that before smiling at her and blushed lightly before saying, "I promise I won't die then because you told me not to." He was smerked happy she had said that and watched her. He asked, "So do you still want work Rose?" His face was serious again.
Rose pulled the blanket around her up to her chin, contemplating what to say. "I don't know!" She sighed and shook her head. "I don't want anyone to die, or get in any trouble, but I don't want to stay locked up in here for the rest of my life like some good for nothing person..." Rose said, confused and annoyed.
Shintarou nodded saying, "Okay we'll just stay home for he next couple days. Before we go back to work." He laid back down on the bed muttering, "Do you want to get you're things today or tomorrow? Because it doesn't matter to me
Rose looked down at Shintarou, then back up, her eyes not focused on anything in particular. She thought for a minute about what he had said, and replied, "Do you think we can go today? So I can... You know, change?" Rose blushed, and turned her face away so Shintarou couldn't see her. Her hair covered her face, concealing her blush.
Shintarou shrugged saying, "Sure thing Rose." He watched her saying, "I'm sorry for never talking to you before this happened. I just never could get close to people especially since I wasn't supposed to talk to humans, so I could hide my secret."
Rose shrugged, her hair flowing back behind her shoulder, though some still covered her face. "It's fine... I understand..." she told Shintarou. It only made sense that he hadn't told her. It would have put both of them in danger, and she realized that. Though the results weren't any better, as they are in some danger now anyway.
Shintarou took her hand gently and squeezed it saying, "Don't worry about it. As long as you're by my side, you will be fine." He then sat up and got out of the bed yawning before walking towards the kitchen saying, "I'll make breakfast."
Rose really wanted to believe him, but for some reason, couldn't. Her stomach rumbled, "Okay," she called, not minding that Shintarou was going to make the food. Rose shifted herself on the bed, so she could see when he would come back in. Rose gently tossed her hair behind her shoulder, patiently waiting.
Shintarou came in with breakfast on a tray and set it down in front of her. He still didn't have a shirt on showing off his muscles saying, "Breakfast is served." He took a piece of toast off her plate and took a bite asking, "So how old are you anyway Rose?"
Rose blinked at him, realizing how muscular he really ways, and only slightly wishing that he'd put on a shirt. She looked away, eating some eggs. "I'm twenty one..." Rose said, giving him a sideways glance while she ate.
