Rose's hear practically skipped a beat, she was so nervous. She looked down at her feet, following Shintarou. Rose squeezed his hand in response, breathing slowly. She counted her breaths, trying to stay calm. 1, 2, 3, 4. 1, 2, 3, 4. Rose let her dark hair hide her face, covering the fact that she was not even slightly Asian, or looked anything like any of them, for that matter.

Shintarou then lead her to the top room and this is where his mother and father were. They were sitting down on the floor and looked surprised when then looked up from their work. His mother said, "S-Shintarou?" His father face then looked at him he was smoking a cigarette and asked, "What the hell are you doing here?" They didn't see Rose behind him since she was smaller than him.(( Fahter:

Rose froze up, and bit her lip. She stepped out from behind him, but still held onto his hand. She looked up at his parents, blinked once to memorize the layout of the room and Shintarou's parents. Rose looked down again, still biting her lip. She didn't know what to say, and she didn't know if she even should speak. His mother seemed automatically much nicer than his father, so she glanced at Shintarou's mom again, her green eyes flashing.
His father eyes widdened and so did her mother's when they saw her come out. Her mother asked, "Who is that Shintarou?"Shintarou rubbed the back of his neck and said, "It's a long story. Anyway this is Rose. She's my... friend." He motioned down to her. He said, "She's a human and I don't want her to die, but se doesn't want her memory erased. I was wondering if there was another option."
His father nodded and said, "There is another way." He wathed her taking a drag from his cigerette.
His mother nodded and said, "Yes you must marry Rose then unless you want her to die."
Rose's face immediately lost all color. "What?" she whispered to herself. She bit her lip, thinking, Seriously? Let's marry a guy I barely know, or die. Especially after I tried to kill myself! Rose shook her head at the thought. She frowned, and tucked a piece of her dark brown hair behind her ear. Rose looked up at Shintarou, angry and slightly confused. "Seriously?" she growled softly, so only he could hear her.
Shintarou said, "Let me talk to Rose for a minute." He then pulled out of the room into the empty hallway holding her hand gently closing the door behind them and said, "Rose, I know I'm asking a lot from you and we barely know each other, but will you..." He rubbed the back of his neck softly trying to hide his light pink blush adding, "I mean it's just a title. It doesn't mean we have to act like one, but I just don't want to lose you Rose. There something about you and I don't want you to die, so why not?"
Rose let go of Shintarou's hand, and sat down. She put her head in her hands, confused and even afraid. "It's not just a title to me..." Rose whispered, shaking her head. "And we do barely know each other!" A few tears fell down onto her rosy cheeks, which were hastily wiped away. Rose's dark hair covered her face, hiding the rest of her tears. "This isn't fair!" she whined. "It's all my fault! I should have just died!"
Shintarou kneeled down next to her and played with her hairs saying, "I didn't think the thought being married to me was going to make you cry." He tried to lighten the mood before saying, "Rose, please don't cry love. Look at me dear I have something I would like to say." He couldn't believe he was going to say this.
Rose looked up at him, her green eyes swollen from crying a little. "It's not the thought of marrying you..." she whispered, wiping away her tears. Rose tried to smile, which looked pained. She gave up, her expression neutral. "What is it?" she whispered, curious to know what Shintarou had to say. Rose's eyebrow raised a bit, showing her interest in what he wants to say.
Shintarou sighed and looked away running his neck saying, "I'm actually really found of you in the short time I have known you." He glanced at her before looking away adding, "I know you rather be dead then anything right now, and since you want to throw away your life will you let me take care of you?" He bit his lip not knowing what she was going to say.
Rose weighed the words Shintarou told her. They were the truth, and she believed him. Because of that, she glanced at him and sighed. He even believed it, and was somewhat nervous about her reply. Rose closed her eyes and thought hard and quickly for a moment. She pursed her lips, then sighed again. Rose tucked a piece of her hair behind her ear, and quietly told Shintarou, "Alright... Okay..." She shyly studied him, wondering how he would react.
Shintarou watched her and stood up rubbing the back of his neck. He hated this feeling that he got from lookig at her it was.. weird. He stood up and sticked out his and to her. He said, "Now come on love." He gave her a small smile saying, "I promise to take good care of you."
Rose grabbed his hand, her soft, slightly cold one gripping his warm hand. Her actions were slightly reluctant, but not noticeably so as she stood up. Rose nodded as Shintarou said that he would take good care of her, and she murmured, "Okay." She blushed, so Rose bit her lip, slightly embarrassed. Rose was literally trusting a guy she barely knew. A guy. And she had never had good relations with any male before.
Shintarou noticed her blushed and looked away. She was really too cute, damn this was going to be hard. He lead her back inside saying, "We have made up our minds and Rose and I will be getting married."Miki smiled and said, "That's wonderful." She nudged her husband's elbow saying, "Doesn't it remind you when we had our arranged Marrage? Good times. Anway I'm Miki and this is my husband Minato."
Minato say rubbing the back of his neck just like Shintarou does saying with his gruff voice, "It's nice to meet you Rose. Sorry about all this."
Miki smiled smiling, "Im just so happy that Shintarou getting married to someone so cute like you dear. Take care of him he can be a handful at times."
Rose had to blink a few times, to comprehend all of the information she was getting. Arranged marriage? Well, I guess that's what this is... Rose forced a smile at first, but when his father said that he was sorry for all of this, it turned into a genuine smile. She laughed softly when Miki said that Shintarou was a handful at times. "Nice to meet you both," Rose said, her voice kind, and, gratefully for her, collected.
Shintarou blushed and rubbed the back off his neck looking away when his mom mentioned him being a handful. He noticed that Rose looked happy and said, "I think it's time to go. You must be getting sleepy. We'll talk more a out this another day."Miki said, "Wait Shintarou dont be a party pooper. I would like to talk to Rose in private if that's okay before you guys leave. Girl to girl." She was smiling happy to talk to another girl.
Minato took a drag and went back to his work writing some things down.
Rose giggled quietly at Shintarou being embarrassed. "I'd love to talk to you!" she told Miki, a smile finding it's way onto her face. Rose gave Shintarou a meaningful glance, because hey, girl talk is girl talk. "I'm not that tired yet," Rose added to Shintarou, as a wave of adrenaline raced through her veins, giving her energy and alertness.
Miki giggled herself and said, "Come on we will go to my bedroom." She walked over to Rose and took her hand saying, "Sorry Shintarou I'm going to have to take this cutie." She then winked at him and lead her away. Once she closed the door behind Rose she asked, "So how did you guys meet?"Shintarou sighed running his hand through his hair. She was cute he did agree with his mom on that. He pulled out a cigarette and lit it sitting next to his dad asked when they left, "So what do you think of Rose?"
Minato stopped working and put his pen down saying, "She really a looker just like your mom and she is sweet too. Nice choice."
Shintarou said, "I know I had to save her there was just something about her that connected when I see her. I never felt that way before."
Rose smiled at Miki, and said, "Well, we worked together, so that's how I first came to know him." She surveyed the room, seeing that it was pretty and orderly. Rose flicked her eyes and looked at Miki, directly. "So," she shrugged, "we talked a little at work and got to know each other, but vaguely on his side." Rose pursed her lip for a second, then admitted, "Which, now, is understandable."
Miki nodded saying, "He means no harm with his scary looks at times. He's like his father. They both hate talking about their feelings, nervous around girls, and both smoke. He's not going to smoke infront of you though. He doesn't want you to get second hand smoke. Anway what do you think of him?"
Rose smiled and giggled a little. Her description was dead-on accurate. Rose blushed at the inquiry, and replied, "I really like him. I haven't known him for too long, but..." she shrugged, blushing scarlet. "I like him. I really do. I mean, he saved my life!" Rose tucked a piece of her hair behind her ear, biting her lip a little. "All of this is just so sudden," she admitted.
Miki smiled and said, "Awe how cute that how I felt when I met Minato. It gets better though and he's a real sweet heart and protective. He has no experience before, so don't worry about some jealous ex."
Rose let out a nervous laugh. "I don't have any ex's either... Not that he should be worried." she admitted. Rose smiled, realizing that they had a lot in common. She didn't want to inquire into her more personal aspects, so she didn't ask anything of Miki. Rose wanted to ask, "Did you need to ask me anything in particular?" but she held her tongue, biting her lip.
Miki smiled and said, "No, but I wanted to give you a piece of advice. Shintarou often has nightmares or flash backs of things he rather not talk about, so just try to comfort him. Also when it comes to men like him be bold and confident don't be scared to show your true colors since he will love them." She grabbed both of her hands smiling, "I wish you luck."
Rose nodded; she figured she may have to be more outspoken. She was surprised about him having nightmares and flash backs. Shingtarou? Afraid? she thought, as it seemed very foreign to her. Rose smiled shyly, and said, "Thank you. Really, thank you. I'm glad I got to meet you Miki."
Miki smiled brighten and hugged her saying, "You're so cute love!" She kissed her cheek and said, "Anytime Rose and I'm glad I met you now let's go before Shintarou starts to worry." She grabbed her hand and lead her back into the room.Shintarou looked at Rose and Miki. He walked over to them and Minato did the same.
Rose smiled at Shintarou, and stepped over to him, standing at his side. She was tempted to lace her fingers in with his, but refrained. Rose clasped her hands together, looking up at Shintarou. "I'm fine," she said with a laugh to accompany it. A shy grin crawled onto her face.
Shintarou asked. "Ready to go home?" He took her hand in his once he was getting tired and wanted to sleep.Minato wrapped an arm around Miki's shoulder and said,
"I'm getting tired."
Miki smiled and kissed Minato's cheek saying, "Okay love. It was nice too meet you Rose. Come back soon."
Rose smiled at Minato and turned towards Shintarou. "I'd love to." she told him softly, with unmistakable exhaustion in her voice. Rose hid a small yawn, and refrained from rubbing her eyes. She gladly held his hand, and squeezed it slightly while she yawned. "Wait, where are we going?" Rose asked him, her voice quieting as she spoke.
Shintarou smiled and said, "My place. Let's go Rose he then lead her ou of the house. He let go of her hand saying, "So my parents love you Rose. Thanks for being so cool about this. Most people freak out about me being a Drangon, but you didn't." He noticed he was rambling and whisperd, "Sorry I didn't mean to talk your head off." His ears were pink he looked down at the ground.
Rose shivered slightly and crossed her arms. "That's what you're called? Huh..." she quietly murmured. "You're fine, I don't mind you rambling." Rose added, easily keeping up with Shintarou by matching his pace. Where's his place? Rose thought to herself. A small smile lighted up her face, though the recent events were slowly taking a toll on her. Rose really just needed some sleep to get a clear head on everything that had just happened to her.
Shintarou said, "Um actually, we are called Draki not dragons." He picked her up heat coming from his body like a heater and asked, "Ready to go? I promise I won't drop you." He waited for her to give him the okay.
"Okay," Rose said, clinging on to Shintarou like her life depended on it, because it actually did. She closed her eyes and soon felt much warmer, as Shintarou's heat washed through her. Rose held her breath, waiting for him to turn into a dragon and fly to his house, where ever it was. She hoped that it wasn't cold there though.
Shintarou suddenly turned into a dragon and flew into the sky. He glanced down at her letting out a growl trying to tell her to open her eyes.
Rose opened her eyes, blinking, shocked, and somewhat frightened. She looked down and tensed, and held onto Shintarou tighter. Rose took a deep breath and watched as they flew by forests and trees and towns, and more. She liked it, but at the same time, was afraid. It was a very odd sensation.
Shintarou then landed on a apartment complex and onced he touched the ground he was human again holding onto Rose and began to walk to the door that lead to the stairs. He said, "I live in an apartment here. We'll move your things in tomorrow, but for now you sleep on my bed and I'll sleep on the couch."
Rose nodded, yawning. "I can walk you know," she tiredly joked, kicking her legs a little. "You don't have to carry me, especially up stairs." Rose nodded as Shintarou said she could sleep in his bed, but she felt bad that he had to sleep on the couch. She didn't say anything, especially because she still barely knew him.
Shintarou shrugged and said, "Fine you can walk." He placed her down and put his hands into his pockets and unlocked the door and opened it holding it open for her and quickly shut the door behind her and lead her up the stairs and down the hall until they got to his apartment. He then unlocked the door and opened it saying, "This is it. It's not much, but it's better than nothing."
"It's fine! My house is, well, lame. It's barely even mine. I rent the place." Rose said, shaking her head. She waited for Shintarou to go in, but was very curious about how his apartment would look like from the inside. His parents home was different, but pretty. Rose silently hoped that he wasn't the kind of guy who left his trash everywhere and was messy.
Shintarou nodded saying, "Ah, well, you're now going to leave with me. We can pick up you're stuff tomorrow and move you into my room since I only have one bedroom, but I was thinking about buying another bed since you didn't want to sleep with me." He was blushing at the last part. He shyly looked away from her and said leading her to his bedroom saying, "I have some clothes if you want to change out of your clothes. The bathroom is there and you can take a shower if you want." He pointed to the door in the bedroom that lead to the bathroom.
Rose nodded, also blushing. "Thanks," she murmured. Rose shyly grabbed a shirt that was probably a bit big on Shintarou, but frowned, realizing that she wouldn't have any fitting pants. She sighed but went into the bathroom, cleaning herself up. Rose watched as steam rose from the shower as she cleaned herself. Once done, she grabbed a towel and hastily dried off. Rose put on her bra and underwear, and shrugged into Shintarou's shirt. She looked down at herself with a sigh. She just had to have long legs. Rose opened the door, and asked, "Do you have a blanket or something?" she wanted to cover her long legs, and she was very self-conscious.
Shintarou had changed and had no shirt on and his eye patch was gone. He looked at her up since he had been reading a book and his face lit up on fire bright red. He didn't notice how beautiful and curvy her body was till now. He gulped and muttered getting a blanket for her, "Don't walk around like that. I am a man, so don't try to tempt me, please Rose." He threw a blanket at her not able to find any word to say to her. He then walk out of the room with his book embarrassed.
Rose blushed scarlet, as she hastily covered herself with the blanket. Still blushing, she sat on his bed and took a deep breath. Rose realized that he wasn't wearing his eye patch or a shirt, which made her blush even more. She tiptoed out of his room, making sure the blanket was still hiding her features. Rose wasn't the skinniest girl, but she wasn't the fattest either. She had curves, but she was shy about it. "I'm sorry..." Rose murmured, walking over to Shintarou. She looked down at her bare feet; they were a bit cold.
Shintarou sighed and patted her head saying, "It's okay. Don't worry about it. It's just I'm not used to having a girl living with me." He gave her a soft smile before walking to the kitchen asking, "Are you hungry Rose?" He yawned and scratched his stomach before opening the fridge.
Rose blinked when he patted her on the head. She followed Shintarou, and leaned against the wall. Rose heard her stomach growl, so she grinned and said, "A bit, but I'm also tired." She yawned, as if that would prove her point. Rose slid herself down onto the ground, resting her chin on her knees. She rubbed her eyes, hopping that the little makeup she wore wouldn't smudge.
Shintarou look down at her and smiled softly. This had been strange for him since he never smiled most of the time. He nodded saying, "Hm, I think we should just eat some snacks." He pulled out some cookies and milk. He poured them two glasses of milk and handed her the box of cookies before puting the gallon of milk back and sittin down next to her holding two glasses of milk. He handed he the cup saying, "Here." His eyes had a scar starting at the middle of his eyebrow and doing down over his eye lid. He took a cookie and ate it after dipping it in his milk. He was staring down at his milk think about everything that had happen today.
Rose picked up a cookie, and set the box on the ground in between them. She gratefully took the milk, and sipped it before eating her cookie. Rose noticed that he smiled, so she smiled too. She knew that it was something that he wasn't really accustomed to-she didn't like smiling much either. Rose yawned and pulled the blanket tighter around her, and kept eating. When she finished her milk, she set the glass up on the counter behind her, and ate a final cookie. Again, Rose pulled the blanket tighter around her as she shivered.
Shintarou noticed how tired she was and put the food and cups away before picking her up bridal style and carrying her to his bedroom saying, "Let's put you to sleep Rose." He placed her on his bed tucking her in like a child.
Rose suppressed a laugh as he tucked her in-she felt just like a little girl again. She yawned and pulled the blankets up to her chin, her green eyes probing Shintarou curiously. Rose blushed and quickly looked away, curling herself up into a fetal position-the way she always slept.
Shintarou smiled and kissed he head before muttering, "Night." He then walked out of the bedroom before going to the deck and grabbing a pack of cigarettes and lighting a cigarette and taking a drag looking out at the city. He sighed running his hand through his hair muttering, "What did I get myself into?"
