I remember a house either next to or on a lake. There is a jetty. I think the protagonist, a woman, is a scientist. I uncertainly recall that while her partner is sleeping, she has an epiphany in which she suddenly becomes aware of another entity inside and around her; some kind of being encapsulating perfect understanding and love. It communicates with her, wordlessly if I remember rightly.

I think the author was female, lobstergirl, though can't be absolutely positive. I can't remember the cover art at all. Thanks for your interest. It was a nice read. I'd like to remember what it was.
