I'll be the first to reply YES ... and I'll be alot of other people will follow with the same reply!
Hi, this is TNBBC AKA Bookaholics-R-Us, have we met? LOLI think everyone in this group is a TBR-Addition-Addict. I know I am. I even have a shelf dedicated to my GR finds, and it's not my TBR!
Constantly. I also always add books to my TBR list that my GR friends highly rate. My TBR on GR is almost 1000 books.
In fact, I've 'discovered' plenty of new authors and books thanks to GR. Perhaps it will take mne ages to read them al, but nevertheless, it has helped me broaden my literary horizons! :)
Just copied Becky and did a gr-finds exclusive bookshelf hahaNow I feel more confortable adding all the finds I see!
Absolutely! I love it b/c it's opened me up to books that I wouldn't normally have picked up. I love adding to my TBR list.
Good morning to all. I am an Author. My book cover is the 'photo' here. The old door is in my writing room. The woman is me throwing bread up to the birds in Galveston.Goodreads has opened up a whole world to me, too, and I love it, as you good folks have said here also.
Sweet reading & discovering books,
Sharon
Of course! Even though I work in a bookstore, most of my TBR additions are found through GR. The update feed is a dangerous (or wonderful) thing. :)

Sharon, I am pretty sure by now we all know you are an author. Please keep your posts within the threads related to the threads you are posting in. This is a pretty blatant plug, tho it really has nothing to do with finding new books to read here on this site.

Every day!!! Of course!I'm starting to scare myself with this list, but it gives me direction when I am ordering or shopping in person! And, beware, we have some of the best reviewers... you cannot resist a book once you read one of them!
Fiona, is that you?!!
Absolutely. That's the reason why my TBR list is soooo long!Lori, enjoy the Inner Harbor...it's great!
YES! I can't tell you the minutes/hours I spend indulging in this activity. It's nice to know someone else enjoys this same activity.
Heck Yes. But the problem is, I keep adding more than I read, so the TBR pile never gets any smaller!

Welcome back, Lori. I lived in Baltimore a million years ago and worked near the Harbor. Is the seafood restaurant Phillips still there?
Diane D.. I dont eat seafood tho, so we dont there. That is the one in the light street mall/shopping center, yeah?

I do that a lot too xD It's one of my ways of finding new and exciting books too, hehehe. It's especially bad whenever I finally get around to reading my TBR pile and I discover a ton of books here that I should check out *blushes*
Isn't Baltimore where Duff has that incredible cake business that is on Food T.V.??? Or Food Channel?!OMG...those cakes are crazy and I about lose my mind when I watch that show!!!
This is when it comes in handy living in the middle of almost nowhere, and there are no cake places open, or even a facsimile, especially at night!!!
I used to add all the books I wanted to read to my TBR list but it was depressing as I will never get through that many.
I've been trying to to limit my TBR to books I-would-definitely-read-right-now-if-I-had-a-copy. My physical bookpile is big enough. My TBR is functionally books that sound cool but don't own. I love that idea of having a separate GR finds shelf! :) I would make a books I own and need to read shelf, but then entering all the books would be a project I'm too intimidated to tackle. lol

Oh yes....this is where I get a lot of ideas as well as other sites and recommendations from friends.
I've gotten so many good recommendations on here. I love it! It's even branched me out into books that I normally wouldn't think to look for for myself but they sound so good I just can't help but add them!

Not sure about the cakses, but Baltimore has the best crabs anywhere in the world! Served up with Old Bay seasoning - YUM
Yeah I love to browse on all kinds of book related sites and add to my Mt. TBR.The problem is i hardly ever read that many i put on because i have series reads i keep up with or browse the library and pick stuff up and then feel oblogated to read those first.I keep forgetting to take my tbr notebook to the library with me and then forget the titles of stuff i'm dying to read.I will say though this year so far i have read alot more books off my tbr shelf at home then i have in other years.
I love to look at what other people are reading. I will click on explore - then people and choose the first person on the list to see what they are reading. If a book comes up on several lists, I'll add it to my TBR list. You all have given me a lot of great ideas for organizing the shelves. I tend to do that when I don't want to clean or garden or something else just as important!

I just get excited about finding books that seem interesting to me.
