Infinite Buddy Read

Karen and I are starting a buddy read of Infinite, the final book in the Newsoul series, today, Wednesday Feb. 12th.

Everyone is welcome to join! There are no set chapters per day, we just read at our own paces and start each post with how far along you are, i.e., Chapter #, %, using spoilers where needed. Have fun!

I know, I went from one emotional extreme to the other in the space of like, 2 seconds! I was sitting at my desk kind of depressed, and I'm sure I had a nice big pout, when Darryl walks in and hands me this package, and says it was in the PO Box (usually they deliver it right to my door) I was like, "YES!!!" and seriously, jumping up and down and hugging him! Oh, its so easy to make me happy! lol

64% in. Wow! This book is absolutely amazing! (view spoiler)[I'm so happy to find out that the sylph really are (or were) humans and not evil mindless creatures. Although still not sure how they learned to speak with them so easily. One minute they could barely understand them and the next, they were holding major conversations. ;-)

Loved that Ana was able to speak with the dragons.

Not sure why Sam was sooooooo upset with her though. Uummmm, how else are they planning to stop Janan? Dude, get over yourself. If Ana forgives you...?

Also love that Ana seems to have no fear, whatsoever. (hide spoiler)]

This book is really hard to put down!!

I agree completely, Sam really frustrated me there. (view spoiler)[BUt what I love about it is it shows how pure and courageous young people can be. I think its a good comparison--we don't always take them seriously when we get older.

As for the sylph, I think it was because it was Cris, so Ana knew him--and she was more open to trying to communicate. No one had ever really tried before. (hide spoiler)]

I finished it, and it was BEAUTIFUL!! I LOVED it! I'm exhausted, it 1:30am, so I will talk more in detail about it tomorrow!

I officially have insomnia! My brain won't stop running through my lists for work. Ugh! So I'm going to read until my Nook falls on my face when I conk out ;-)

Finished last night (or morning) at 2:30ish. Wow! AMAZING!!! Loved loved loved!

I know!! I stayed up until 1:30 am last night finishing! So I just barely beat you!

Okay, here are my final thoughts (view spoiler)[ I LOVED Ana in this, her story was quite a journey from start to finish, and I LOVED that! I still loved Sam, but he was definitely irking me at times! I can't believe he was the weapon the whole time! The whole thing with the dragons was one of the best parts of the book IMO, so very scary and creepy, and GENIUS! I also loved how we got all our questions answered--Janaan was going to give immortality to all his servants, so he would rule over them, and I can't believe he offered it to Ana! I think he was secretly terrified of her! I still wanted to strangle Stef through a lot of the book, but I was very sad for Sam when she died. And I was sad about Armande's and Whit's deaths as well. But I was thrilled when Ana was reincarnated at the end!! One last lifetime for her and Sam to be happy--that must have been her reward from the Phoenix for setting things right. :) LOVED LOVED LOVED this book and trilogy! (hide spoiler)]

Loved your final thoughts, Jenny. I just finished a couple hours of work and now I have to go get ready for the Ballet!! Woot woot! Going to the matinee with a friend of mine. I'll be back later to write my thoughts. :)

Final thoughts:

Ana (view spoiler)[What a change from the whiney insecure girl in Incarnate. Wow. I loved watching her change and grow and how incredibly brave she was. She had crazy mad musical talent as well which I loved. (hide spoiler)]

Sam (view spoiler)[I really loved how much he cared for Ana although he seemed a bit insensitive to others around him like Stef and Cris. The stronger Ana became, the more annoying Sam got. Well, maybe not quite that bad. I'm so glad he and Ana were able to have one last lifetime together! (hide spoiler)]

Dragons (view spoiler)[favorite species! Loved their attitude for some reason and how Ana got them to help her! (hide spoiler)]

Cris, Armande, Sarit, Stef, all the friends..! (view spoiler)[Loved that they all accepted Ana and loved her and followed her quest blindly, even though she was a new soul. There was something about each of them that was endearing. (hide spoiler)]

I'm sad to see this series end. Really ended up loving it! And the covers are all gorgeous!!!
