Isabelle nodded," That's what friends are for." She answered She nodded," now you need to get him out of here or no one will eat." She said looking at Zach who was picking food out of the pan.
Steph smiled. "Thanks.""Come on, Zach, I don't want to get in trouble with your mom," Bryan laughed slightly.
Isabelle smiled," You're welcome."Zach frowned," Awww come on it's my favorite."
Steph nodded and looked down at her hands again, letting her hair fall in her face. "Dude, really?" Bryan raised an eyebrow at him.
Isabelle pulled I to the driveway," Just stay for dinner and then I'll take you home." She said Zach grinned and kissed his mothers cheek and then walke out of the kitchen with Bryan.
"That's all right, I can stick around if we were gonna do some more planning," Steph said. Bryan went back into the living room.
"Okay well if you need to get out of my house or away from the two guys let me know." She answered Zach followed after him
"Don't worry, I will," Steph said. "If nothing else I'll text Lupita so that way she'll just show up and I'll have to go." Lupita and Hank were her foster parents. Bryan caught a glimpse of the car out the window. "Looks like the girls are back," he said.
Isabelle nodded," that's a good idea... Sometimes I wish I could still do that but I guess I'm happy to have Celine and Ben as my parents," she said Zach looked out the window and nodded," Yeah they are... I wonder where They went."
"Yeah don't jinx it by wishing stuff like that," Steph said, getting out of the car. "You've got it pretty great here with them."Deep down she knew Lupita and Hank only wanted good for her, but sometimes she just couldn't stand them. "I dunno," Bryan said. "Girly stuff probably."
Isabelle looked over at Steph," they aren't my foster parents anymore Steph they adopted me... But said I could keep my last name unless I wanted to change it." She told her Zach nodded," I guess so." He answered," but most times their girls stuff doesn't last that long not do they just sit out there and talk..."
"Yeah I know they're not," Steph said. "They cared enough to adopt you. You know what, just ever mind."Bryan nodded, watching them carefully. "The emo girl always seems upset about something, and then your sis acts like she's hiding something for her."
"Stop hiding stuff from me I know what it's like to get tossed around and never know if you would ever have a real home." Isabelle said," Look it took me until I was almost 18 to even get adopted... I know that I'm not a mother like you are but I'm here to listen to you and help you." Zach nodded," yeah you are right about that one.. Maybe they knew each other from before my parents took Izzy."
"I'm not a mother," Steph quickly corrected her. "And yeah, I'm sorry. I know you have, and I didn't mean to make it out like you hadn't."Bryan nodded. "You think so? That'd be interesting for sure."
Isabelle looked at her," Okay whatever you say about that one..." She answered," Okay let me help you, okay." She said Zach watched them. "It would but it would also explain why they are so close... Izzy hasn't exactly been here for that long and neither has Stephanie."
Steph glanced over at her. "If I was a mother I'd be able to keep and take care of Katie," she explained her earlier statement. "But yeah, I'll try." "Do you think they shared a foster home or something?" Bryan added.
"Okay that's one thing that makes a mother but another is the fact that you go and visit Katie almost everyday." She said softly," you are part of her life and that's also something a mother does... If my real mom did that I would be happy.... But I don't get that the first woman who I called mom still checks up on me so really she is my mom and not Celine." She commentsZach nodded," Possibly... But Izzy was in a group home too before she went to the last family who had her and then she did something or something happened and they didn't want her anymore then we got her."
"She still checks up on you?" Steph looked over at her. "Yeah I guess that's some if what makes it."Bryan nodded. "They both have a lot of secrets, huh?"
Isabelle nodded," Yeah and I found out that she is one of Ben's clients so I get to see her sometimes... She had me when I was like two until I was probably eight but then she lost her job and stuff happened." She said softly. "It is we should know since I dreamed about a mom for years." Zach nodded," yeah but... If you ask Izzy she is more open to talking about something's... I mean that's how I got all of what I just told you."
"Yeah," Steph agreed. "Every kid needs to know who their mom is."Bryan nodded. "Yeah she's definitely more open. Would you be wigged if I told you she's kind of hot?"
"Exactly even if they may not really be their real mom." She answered," so my brother is gawking out the window we should probably go in.." She said the shook her head," you know I always wanted a brother and now I have one and it's weird." Zach pulled away from the window and looked at Bryan," you really think my sister is hot?" He asked
Steph looked toward the house and chuckled upon seeing the two of them. "Yeah... We should go in."Bryan shrugged. "Well you know, yeah," he said.
Isabelle got out of her car laughing a little," I wonder how long they were standing there staring at us." Zach shrugged," well I guess you have a point... But she's had enough problems in her life I'd rather not have her be adding you to the list too."
"I don't know," Steph said with a chuckle. "It might have been the whole time."Bryan shrugged, stepping away from the window. "I wasn't saying j wanted to date her. You know I haven't dated since Cassie. I was just making a statement."
Isabelle nodded," Maybe." She answered walking. To the front door. Zach looked over at his best friend," I know you haven't but I'm also just saying... You don't often comment on what a girl looks like so I'm just telling you that I don't mind if you date my sister but don't mess with her.. Even though I know you wouldn't."
Steph went up on the pitch and waited for Izzy to open the door. "Yeah don't worry," Bryan said. "They're at the door now."
Izzy opened the door and stared at her older brother," Why are you being such a creep?" She asked laughing a bitZach grinned at her," Im allowed to be... I'm the brother."
Steph stayed back until the doorway was free for her to come inside. "We were just, you know, admiring the scenery," Bryan joked.
Izzy laughed softly," enjoying the scenery my ass." She said moving so Steph could come into the house. Zach grinned at her," haha see you are learning from me... But Izzy that was a bad word."
"Ohhh shut up Zach."
Steph cane inside and laughed slightly at the two of them. "Hey, are you accusing me of lying?" Bryan replied, faking being angry.
Izzy smiled," so what if I am... What are you going to do about it?p" she asked Zach laughed softly
"Brood for a couple of hours," Bryan replied, taking a sip of drink. Steph caught a whiff of what their mom was cooking in the kitchen.
Izzy nodded," I think I can deal with that." She answered with a smile," Hi Celine hi Ben." She called out Zach smiled," I will never get used to hearing my parents being called by their first names."
Bryan shrugged. "I'll always call them Mr. And Mrs. But I guess it's different coming from a sister," he said. Steph smiled at their parents in greeting.
Izzy shrugged," they aren't really my parents and I don't know if I will ever be able to call either of them mom and dad since I've been forced to call most of my foster parents mom and dad and when it really mean something to me it was time for me to leave." Zach nodded slightly," yeah I know Iz." He answered," But it's still weird for me."
Bryan took another sip and listened to them. Steph watched them as they talked, trying to look a little more happy.
"So it's weird to me that you both have had the same parents all your lives." She answered Zach nodded slightly," yeah I know."
Bryan shrugged. "Yeah," he said. Steph nodded. The one time she'd actually had a real parent she tried to forget as much as possible.
Isabelle looked over at Steph and saw she was tuning out. "Let's just go eat." She said looking back at her older brother Zach nodded," Alright fine."
"Finally," Bryan grinned. "I didn't want to be the one to say it." Steph turned to walk into the kitchen.
Izzy smiled a little bit," yeah well I'm sure zach didn't either." She replied Zach grinned," yup."
"What are you having?" Steph asked, trying to join the conversation. Bryan went into the kitchen.
Zachary looked ar her," chicken pie." He answered. "Are you alright?" He aske as he had been walking behind her Isabelle looked back at them but went into the kitchen after Bryan.
"Yeah of course," Steph shrugged. "Why?" Bryan leaned against the counter and looked over at Isabelle. "So, hey I'm sorry we've never hit it off well," he find himself saying.
Zach shrugged," because you seem down or something." He answered looking at her Isabelle looked at him for a second and shrugged," it's probably not your fault." She answered
"No, I'm fine," Steph smiled at him, but it didn't reach her eyes. "I'm always fine.""It's nobody's fault," Bryan replied. "I just, you know, don't want to be on bad relations with my best friends sister."
Zach frowned a little bit." I don't really believe you." He said Isabelle smiled a little bit." Sorry it's fine I'm not like going to tell Zach I don't like you."
"Well, good for you," Steph said dryly. Bryan chuckled. "Yeah I know," he said.
"Come on I'm not saying that to be mean Im just saying something is up with you and Izzy." He answered Isabelle smiled a bit," good thing you know that." She answered
"Sounds great," Bryan said, stepping back.
