SOLVED. YA? about a group of friends who find a board game and are transported to a different world because of the board game [s]

So, i read it quite a few years ago, probably around 6/7 years ago? I really cant remember the title or cover of this book. but i know that it was part of a series.

There are about 4 or 5 friends who find a board game where they have to draw little "portraits" of themsleves and place them inside the board game which is a house. They get transported to another world (in which the house is in) and they come across a man inside the house with eyes the colour of blue "like the flash of blue green light just before the sun rises" (or something similar to that)

*These are probably spoilers?*
As the book goes on, the main character which is a girl, falls in love (although she doesnt want to admit it) with the prince who lives in the house. He tells her that the only way he will show her and her friends a way out will be if she stays in the house with him forever. She tricks him and agrees to stay only to lock him in a cupboard to run away...?
That's all i can think of. i have no idea of the author or the name of the book...
