This was a bit slow going but had a good plot. it was interesting to see who he end up with. some characters were more developed then others and it dragged a lot in the middle.
Just started this one and the writing style is really gorgeous with lots of humour and a critics eye towards the society of that time.
So many gossip talk though and descriptions of family wealth and past affairs, so detached from the characters's feelings. It all seems a farce. Interesting to read but i don't think i'll feel much involved in the story.
God so much emotions all through the novel and frustrations, and hopes! And now such a leap in time ! I'm so frustrated right now. Such innuendos to end up like that? This is awful and i'm way too invested in their story. It's really classic but the feelings are so well captured and the writing is excellent. Plus it's told from a man's point of view and yet the most interesting and amazing characters are the ladies in his life. I'm definitely finishing this one tonight.
