When asked "What do you do for a living" most people reply with occupations that they perform during a regular work week. It's a question that sometimes perplexes me. As a writer, it's FAR more than what I do to earn a living. In fact, health issues forced me to retire more than a decade ago. When asked, I reply: I'm a writer. It's NOT what I do, it's who I am. When health permits I still spend at least 20 hours a week doing research on various pet projects and often write well past midnight. Money is no longer a factor in the equation as my years as a professional writer provide me with enough pension to continue doing what I love. May you all enjoy similar "Golden" years.
