The Chronicles of Narnia question

I remember getting a book from the library when I was alot younger that I loved. I wanted to find it but have not idea what it was called or the author. Its kind of like narnia. 3 kids find their way into a unique world where they can talk to animals the main animals in it were a badger and a fox. If any one has any ideas I would love to hear them and find this book.
