Time to nominate your additional monthly read for September

September is the start of Autumn (September, October, November): Nominate a book with all of the letters A U T M N in the title and/or author's name.

- Please make sure to include book link or book cover link. This can be done by clicking on the 'add book / author' link above the comment box. If not possible (because you're using the mobile app), then make sure you include both book title and author.
Your nomination will not count if not in either of these formats.

- Please refrain from nominating any book that has already been a group read or scheduled to read as part of the Goodreads Choice Award Book Club. These can be found at https://www.goodreads.com/group/books...

- Please do not nominate a second (or later) book in a series read. Your nomination will be not counted if you do.

- Only one nomination per person will be accepted.

- Nominations will close on Sunday 26th, 5pm GMT and will be followed by a poll.

All the letters, huh? Sounds like a challenge! I'll have to think about this a bit. (Though I don't want to think about autumn coming too soon! I love summer! I feel like it's only just begun.)

Indeed, thought I'd mix it up a bit as I've been easy on you all for the past few months :)

ally ¯\(ツ)/¯ (allykennedy) | 1002 comments Out of my entire tbr I have three options, one being a graphic novel. So... I'll go with Mountain Man (Mountain Man, #1) by Keith C. Blackmore Mountain Man by Keith C. Blackmore which I Highly doubt will win. I don't think a horror novel has ever won a poll in this group. LOL!
Augustus Berry lives a day-to-day existence comprised of waking up, getting drunk, and preparing for the inevitable day when “they” will come up the side of his mountain and penetrate his fortress. Living on the outskirts of a city and scavenging for whatever supplies remain after civilization died two years ago, Gus knows that every time he goes down into undead suburbia could be his last.

I'm going with Tell the Wolves I'm Home by Carol Rifka Brunt.

I was randomly checking for books that I know had some of the letters and came up with 7 others before this one. I have already read and enjoyed 3 of the others, but four of them are still on my tbr. I'm sure there are many more, but I stopped looking after I found this one because I've been wanting to read it for a while.

Ally - Your choice looks interesting. I hadn't heard of it before. I added it to my TBR. :)

Ally - I don't know if you're on Audible, but if so they have a freebie of a short story prequel for the book you nominated. The prequel is The Hospital: The First Mountain Man Story. It's also free for Kindle on Amazon.

ally ¯\(ツ)/¯ (allykennedy) | 1002 comments I downloaded the prequel a while ago (haven't listened to it though), but thank you! :)
I had to cancel my audible membership. The Canadian dollar conversion is TERRIBLE right now!

I listened to a free novella in this series The Hospital: The First Mountain Man Story. I really enjoyed it, but it was quite gruesome. May not be for everyone.
