Books I WISH would be made into a movie

I totally agree with you Dana
I would love to see The Chronicles of Vladimir Tod made into movies! I loved reading the series when I was in middle school and I've been constantly searching to find out if its ever been made into a movie. That would be pretty cool.
Ever since I was in grade school and I read the whole series, I wish Gregor the Overlander would be made into a movie. Since Suzanne Collins second series of books were made into blockbusters, I'm hopeful.
@ Katy: I can totally relate :D I really hope these books are made into movies. But I think it is really difficult to do so. There will have to be a lot of CGI and I don´t know if that would be a good solution...
I totally wish Every Day by David Levethian was a movie because that honestly would be so awesome. First off one of my favorite books and also a very good story.
Rebecca wrote: "@ Katy: I can totally relate :D I really hope these books are made into movies. But I think it is really difficult to do so. There will have to be a lot of CGI and I don´t know if that would be a g..."Too true. CGI can really really ruin a movie if there is no acting. :)
I'd love to see the Throne of Glass books turned into a movie/tv show! I'd also love to see Fangirl and Eleanor and Park by Rainbow Rowell turned into movies.
I've been disappointed too many times when a book is made into a movie. I don't like when the book story is changed to suit the movie - what's the point in that?
^ Well, that's one of the many things the author and the fans let go of once the rights are sold to Hollywood people.

THRONE OF GLASS!!!!"
OMG YES !!! Throne of Glass would be an amazing movie, as long as the actors playing Chaol and Caelena are suitable. And hopefully they won't change the plot too much.
Sam wrote: "Wow just finished the first book Delirium. Great recommendation Jasmina! Loved it and will be picking up the second straight away! So glad I bought the next 2 books already :)"Delirium was made into a tv show, however only one episode was released. Wouldn't recommend it though. Bad choice of actors for the book characters.
I've always wanted to see The Claidi Journals by Tanith Lee adapted into movies! I was obsessed with that series when I was younger and read it multiple times. I just think the settings and world building done in it are amazing and would be so cool on the big screen. Very steampunk esque.
I would love to see the Dorothy Must Die series made into a movie. Dorothy just makes...a FANTASTIC villain! ^^
Out Of The Silent Planet by C. S. Lewis. I know Hollywood would degrade the Christian overtones, but this is a beautiful book from Lewis's bottomless imagination that could be so easily done with modern special effects. I wouldn't ask for the entire Space Trilogy, just this first book.
How about Inheritance and His Dark Materials series?? These only filmed for the first book (Eragon and The Golden Compass)
Ceria wrote: "How about Inheritance and His Dark Materials series?? These only filmed for the first book (Eragon and The Golden Compass)"I think particularly now in the age of franchises and shared universes in film, if they were to really design a seamless adaptation, sectioned off naturally into three films it might work. The trouble with Eragon and The Golden Compass was that they seemed reluctant to be more than a standalone.
Lord of the Fading Lands Series by CL Wilson... OMG! this would be marvelous if the quality will be the same with Alice in Wonderland or Tim Burton movies
Ashley wrote: "I've always wanted to see The Claidi Journals by Tanith Lee adapted into movies! I was obsessed with that series when I was younger and read it multiple times. I think I would like to see an adaption of the Hidden Children series. I loved the books growing up and kind of want to see what it would look like on the big screen.
Hey! New here. I want this to be a TV show more than a movie and that's the Raven boys. It'd be awesome seeing the characters grow as a person on screen as much as they did in the book
The Undomesticated Goddess by Sophie Kinsella would be a hysterical movie! But as long as it's not Americanised like Shopaholic was.ALSO anything by Anne Rice. A fresh take on her Vampire Chronicles would be amazing.
I think Angelfall by Susan Ee would be super-cool as a movie. But you know those books that you just don't want to be made into a movie cuz its SO FANTABULOUSLY AMAZING and you don't want the casting to ruin it?
well for me that book/series is Throne of Glass cuz it was literally the best series i ever read- like the new harry potter or something!
If it was made with a great budget and especial effects, I would love to watch "Firelight" by Sophie Jordán. I think that story would do amazing if well made.
Cate (The Professional Fangirl) wrote: "I heard they are doing a reboot of The Interview with a Vampire."Yeah I've heard that too. I hope it's not just another rumor
Maybe Someday by Colleen Hoover! AHHH wouldn't that just be the perfect Romantic Drama ?? And I can totally imagine myself crying during it !!
Hello, I'm new to this group. I really loved the "One Plus One", by Jojo Moyes, and think it would make a nice movie.
Well, if we're dreaming big and can assume the best-ever adaptation, I'd vote for The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer and The Books of Bayern by Shannon Hale. It would be cool to have POV shots from Cinder when her cyborg brain is doing cyborg things, and I would LOVE to see the magic system from The Books of Bayern (especially Enna's fire-speaking) on the big screen.
I really want the Throne of Glass series by Sarah. J. Maas into a series of films. I really love how there are different genres in this book. The only thing is the films would probably be for 15 year olds and up because the books do get a bit violent and graphic. This wouldn't bother me though.
Cate (The Professional Fangirl) wrote: "The Pierce Brown books that I'm reading reads like a screenplay. I'm interested to see Red Rising as a movie because it took me a while to get through all the jargo..."Red Rising will be made into a film, though I'm nervous on how it will turn out. Either it'll be full of CGI, or they won't make the Colors as physically different as they should be...
The End of the World Running Club would make a fantastic movie if they kept it faithful. I also would love a We Are All Completely Fine or Harrison Squared film; Wes Craven was going to do a WAACF TV mini series, but he passed away before the project had solidified.
Since I've been rereading "A Court of Thorns and Roses", I've been thinking how awesome it would be as a movie. It's been optioned for a movie so I have high hopes! I'd say the same for "Throne of Glass" too but I've heard it might be a tv show which is so awesome!
One book i want to get into the big screen is Wonder, is such a good book i cant wait to see it as a movie
This had probably been said before, but I feel like Anna and the French Kiss would make a really great film. It could be a little tricky, since it is written from first person POV, but I think all the locations in Paris would translate pretty well to the big/small screen.
Lysistrata wrote: "Ashley wrote: "I've always wanted to see The Claidi Journals by Tanith Lee adapted into movies! I was obsessed with that series when I was younger and read it multiple times. I just think the setti..."Right? The city of Peshamba alone would be awesome to see on screen!
I read the book Young Elite and I really love. I read that there a movie coming out for it but I don't when.
I think the Chemical Garden Trilogy should be made into a movie, the series is a dystopic novel which is really popular in today's movie industry. plus the books are so good!! I honestly can not stress it enough how much I love those books!
I'm sure I'm not the first one to say this but: Warriors. I've heard rumors of it being made into a movie, but it's been years with no further news. I doubt that it could be very EASILY made into a good movie, either. it would have to be almost entirely CGI...but then again, the Jungle Book surprised me :)
Wish we'd get a sequel for the Guardians of Ga'Hoole, but I'm not sure it's ever going to happen. Also a possible reboot of His Dark Materials!

I love that book, but after what Hollywood did to the Percy Jackson series I'm good with it just being a book for now!
