For real! And the story lines could not be any more different if they tried!!!! haha

Bookloverhugger aka:Rebecca | 155 comments i would love to see any book by Jennifer L. Armentrout being made into a movie (preferably the Lux series or the Covenant series) but i always think that if they were made into movies, they wouldn't live up to standard.

Cate (The Professional Fangirl) (chaostheory08) | 458 comments I would say "Outlander" but they're making a series out of it already. :)

Bookloverhugger aka:Rebecca | 155 comments I've never heard of that, what's that about?

message 55: by Katie (new)

Katie | 9 comments The Bartimaeus Trilogy

Bookloverhugger aka:Rebecca | 155 comments I look it up

message 57: by Blueberry (new)

Blueberry (blueberry1) Caravan by Dorothy Gilman. I read it many years ago and always thought it would make a great movie.

Cate (The Professional Fangirl) (chaostheory08) | 458 comments Outlander is an epic series... sort of along the lines of "A Song Of Ice and Fire". It's brilliant!

OOOH! That sounds really intriguing! So many book to read....so little time! haha

Cate (The Professional Fangirl) (chaostheory08) | 458 comments IKR? I've been reading the first Outlander book (there are 7, I think) for the past two weeks. And paired with all the TV teasers, I'm well and truly obsessed.

It's a TV show too!?!??! Welp....that settles it!! Gotta read that one for sure! hahahah

Cate (The Professional Fangirl) (chaostheory08) | 458 comments Starz is making it into a series. I posted the teaser here: http://orangekissu.blogspot.com/2014/...

:)

That looks soooooo good!!!! I am in the middle of reading a few other books, as well as a series, so it might take me a while, but that is for sure on my "read soon" list!! Thanks for sharing! :D

message 64: by Jessica (new)

Jessica The tigers curse book. If they made that book into a movie, I might just die of excitement.

message 65: by J (new)

J A | 86 comments The Mercy Thompson series. I have gone through the first two and I am about to start the third book. This series is close to being my new favorite

I had never heard of it before, but it is set in Washington, so I am at least a little intrigued. Although the cover art a little off putting for me for sure.....

message 67: by J (new)

J A | 86 comments The cover art convinced me to read it :)

Oh goodness! haha

message 69: by J (new)

J A | 86 comments Well it would be sexist of me to judge a young woman for her appearance in such a negative manner that would make me not want to read the book. So I gave her the benefit if the doubt and took her appearance as her manifestation of confidence and individuality which was true and I am glad I was open minded enough to give Mercy a chance. And she's real http://www.tor.com/blogs/2013/09/merc...

Dana Burkey (danaburkey) | 1690 comments Mod
I don't think it would sexist to not want to read the book. I see books all the time with half naked men on the cover, and as soon as I see them I know it is not a book for me! For me, if a book needs to rely on the attractiveness on the person on the cover of the book to get readers interested, the contents after that image are likely to be shallow as well....

message 71: by J (new)

J A | 86 comments How dare you call Mercy shallow? Honestly there has been no sex in the first two books and only two or three cuss words. Really surprised me.

And holy shapeshifter batman, I just found out there is a spin off series called Alpha and Omega. Mind blown.

message 72: by Dana, SuperMod (new)

Dana Burkey (danaburkey) | 1690 comments Mod
hahaha! I'm just saying a lot of books with scantily clad people on the cover are not worth my time... I like books with action and adventure and fun. So I am glad to hear there is no sex and swearing, so that puts the book up a few notches for sure!

I LOVE finding out series I like have additional spin offs! Sure, it adds books to my reading list, but they tend to be good ones, so I'm all for it!

message 73: by J (new)

J A | 86 comments Mercy is a classy lady and can work on cars, you should give her a chance. I definitely would trade in my mechanic for her... just saying.

message 74: by Dana, SuperMod (new)

Dana Burkey (danaburkey) | 1690 comments Mod
I will keep that in mind. Lots of books on my immediate to read list, but if I get a free time I might check the series out...

message 75: by J (new)

J A | 86 comments It looks like the movie option has been signed, now it's just seeing if they actually make the movies

message 76: by FantasyFan J (new)

FantasyFan J (ff101spch) | 11 comments Children of Hurin by J.R.R. Tolkien. I started to read this but didn't finish. But Peter Jackson might be able to make a trilogy like he did with the Hobbit.

Bookloverhugger aka:Rebecca | 155 comments i read any books as long as they sound interesting. though the covers tend to have half naked guys or girls with magical talent/form. those are my type of books :D

Mercy sounds like a really posh name.

message 78: by Sam (new)

Sam | 606 comments I love Patricia Briggs! Mercy Thompson is a great series!! It's also been made into a graphic novel. Spin off is good too! I really feel for Charles! I just love Mercy's attitude and humour, I mean to get back at her neighbour she puts a car on blocks in her front yard! If he does anything to annoy her she makes it worse by spray painting it haha her cats cool too! Love the North American aspect of the walkers. Great idea to the werewolf story. Can't wait for her next book. Don't know how I feel about it being made into a movie... Do we know anything about cast yet? Or is it very early stages?

message 79: by J (new)

J A | 86 comments Early stages, and graphic novel you say?

message 80: by Sam (new)

Sam | 606 comments Yeah by Dynamite publishers. I have the first 2, it's a 4 vol series for first book. I need to check out if I can get the next ones yet. They should be out :D

message 85: by Sheena (new)

Sheena I would love to see the Anita Blake books become a movie, though I don't see that happening, and I'm sure I'd be disappointed in it anyways lol.

Also, the Green Rider series. :-)

I watched that movie on Netflix a while back and LOVED IT!! Then....I found out it was a book! I still need to track them down and read them, but if the book is anything like the movie I am for sure going to love it. And I am sure I will also want to see the others on the big screen as well! :)

From what I have read online it is in the works, but nothing seem super solid as far as dates and all that.. I have the first book but have just not started it. I already have a feeling I am going to love it though just from the reviews and everything like that!

Bookloverhugger aka:Rebecca | 155 comments Ohhh, legend. I can see it becoming a movie....

message 94: by Sam (new)

Sam | 606 comments Like you Dana I haven't read Legend series but its on my 'to read' haha

And also like me that "to read" list is a big one! haha Maybe one of these days we will get to it!! ;)

Edward the Energetic Dog (edwardgreen2121) | 11 comments Books which I WISh would be made into a movie? Hmmm let me think, I think the Chaos Walking trilogy but it's already in the works of a movie (CAN'T WAIT!), also maybe IT by Stephen King (there is an old movie but it sucks, I wished there was a 21st century movie of the book).

Bookloverhugger aka:Rebecca | 155 comments OMG, is the chaos walking tilogy really becoming a movie? cool, although how would they make a talking dog...? :/

message 98: by [deleted user] (new)

The book series is amazing although I have yet to read the third and final book. I hope you and the others enjoy reading the series as I am. Hopefully if there are movies it would be true to the books.

Bookloverhugger aka:Rebecca | 155 comments same, still need to read Champion (p.s. i think Day might die)

message 100: by Dana, SuperMod (new)

Dana Burkey (danaburkey) | 1690 comments Mod
That would be AMAZING....but only if it were done right. The series is just so wonderful and amazing, and I would HATE to see it missed up in a movie. I watched House recently and was rather disappointed by it... Makes me wonder if Dekkers work can really be properly translated into movie at all... There are just so many little to get right(or wrong)!!
