And apparently Kresley Cole will work for Camp Massacre challenge since three of the victims start with the letter "C"
If you haven't started this one and not up to the next 2 in the series, you may want to wait to start this one on Monday. :)
I finished this one yesterday and liked it OK. Nothing to write home about until towards the end I thought it started to pick up and made me want to read the next book. (Which is good because I need to read it this week for a challenge.) :)I enjoyed both characters, there is some humor (yay!) and the world building was interesting although a bit confusing at times... (Thank you Emma for some background!) I'm rarely bowled over by the first book (or 2) in most longer series so I really wasn't expecting much. As far as those things go, I think this first book may be better than most.
The series definitely holds promise.

Have you read this series Penni?

I think Emma said that we couldn't use it as she had asked about it, that's why I changed and am using this for cAMMP Massacre

I've read the first 3 or maybe 4? I liked Warlord better than Hunger, although, yes it was a shorter one. I enjoyed the 3rd ok also. The series isn't stellar for me at least yet, but ok. I think it must be the 4th that is next for me - Bowen's book that everyone raves about.
The world is interesting, the Valkyries are hysterical and the characters are fun.
I'll continue it eventually. But at the moment I have other series I enjoy more that I haven't finished and I'm concentrating on them.
I keep wanting to get back to Cassandra Palmer - I think I'm just up to Book 3!Thanks Penni - I agree... So many series... I do love the Valkyries - they are cracking me up! I have to have humor to enjoy so I think that's a lot of the reason I think there may be potential in this series for me.

Humor is a must for me.
I want to get back to the Cassie Palmer/Basaraba books also. I have a couple series that I am getting close to finishing and then I can pick up some of the ones I've let languish again.

Hopefully I'm caught up to you in CP books by then... LOL!
Finished this one, I quite liked it, I'll probably go onto the next one to see what happens in the others.
I just started No Rest for the Wicked laaaaate last night so didn't get too far before I konked out. But think I'll like it even better. No accent. Lol!
If it wasn't for birthday festivities today, I would be listening to this one start to finish! Love getting the history on Sebastian and his brothers ~ he's such a good "kid"! And Kaderen definitely seems to be quite the challenge... Finding both characters very interesting!
Oh, I might have to gate crash your thread so I can enjoy the books vicariously! if I didn't have so many other books I need to read for challenges I would read them again with you guys.
:) I know how that feels!! I am loving this book Emma! It's 12:30 AM and I'm trying to be good and set my sleep timer but every time it goes off, I'm still awake engrossed and have to set it again! Lol! I've got about 3 hours left in the story and (view spoiler)
I am so glad you are loving book #3 Kristin! To be honest, I can't even remember Sebastion's and Kaderin's story after having read 14 books in the series! I so have to read them again.
Finished No Rest for the Wicked and really enjoyed that one! I needed this one and the next one for Massacre challenge. So have started Wicked Deeds on a Winter's Night - which was pretty cool because this book picks up where they leave you hanging at the end of book 3. There's some more dodgy for you V! LOL!
V - I promise I'll give it a break after this one so you can catch up (if you're planning to) :)
I started off thinking I wouldn't like Wicked Deed better than No Rest for the Wicked but the last half had been like WOAH!!!. So, ya, here I am I'm sitting in my driveway because I want to hear the last 30 minutes before I go into the house knowing I won't be able to get back to it until later...Is that bad?
