I haven't read Do Hard Things yet, but it's on my reading list for the school year so I'm super excited!
Oh, that's fine! A lot of the members haven't read it either. I still haven't read the second book Start Here. :( Well, I was doing group reads, but not specifically for each month or lasting only a month. More like a read it at your own pace whenever you can thing. Which I think is easier for people, and me, to do. What do you think?
Sounds good to me! Do you have a book going on now? If you do, what is it? I would love to jump in and read with y'all!
We just finished Mere Christianity. I set up a poll asking members if they wanted to do another one. So no, we don't have a book.
Oh okay! I voted yes on the poll :)
Do you have another book already picked out for if people want another group read?

This is just an ide...but we could make a topic/thread for people to post verses or passages that really meant something to them and we could all discuss it...
what do you think? (and if it's a bad idea you can just flat out say it) :)

Hey, that's a great idea! And really, I trust you so you don't need my permission to add something. I'm pretty new to this too. ;)
Haha ok thanks! I just got off the computer and I'm on my iPod now so I can do I tmr! Or u could 2night! Either ways works great for me!
Thanks for making the topic. Looks great! I had a question. Do you prefer being called Avery Joy, Avery, or Joy?
Hey Avery Joy, just wanted to let you know tgat I won't be here from September 5th to the 26th. I'll be on family vacation and won't be able to access the internet. Just giving you a heads up! :)
Okay. Sounds good! Sorry I haven't been very active lately. I've been kinda busy with school! Just to let ya know my mom is due with baby #8 on Sept 15th so I probably won't be on whenever the baby arrives :)
Oh, it's totally fine, don't worry about it!! I haven't |really been active either. :( Congratulations to your family!!!!!! That's awesome!!! I wish I could have more siblings, but I guess God planned for me to only have 10. ;)
Any ideas to get this group active again? I'm sorry I haven't been very helpful either, I've been super busy!
Hmmm...I just got Don't Waste Your Life from the library so I will try to start that and post about it...
Writing. . . Reading. . . Music. . . Etc. . .
Those are things, I feel, all of us have interest in. Those might be incorporated into this group perhaps? ( Do not know how to go about it in the best manner possible. )
Prayer. . .I noticed that immediately. There should always be a prayer corner / closet. I very much appreciate that.

Yes, I agree! I already have a few reading threads, but I don't have anything for music yet. Any ideas specifically for music, like a song thread or favorite music, etc?
There is so much in way of music. . . A song. . . An hymn. . . An old Plantation or Spiritual. . . From Gregorian Chant—current pieces. . . I also know the Loblied ~ O Gott Vater, wir loben dich. . . Russian polyphony by Василий Титов - Vasily Titov. . . There are many other gospel choruses, songs, and hymns with uplifting words and praise to God our Heavenly Father!
Music that inspires. Music that uplifts. From ancient to modern. Is that what ye think?
Writing. . . Maybe for anyone interested? That way no one feels obligated or obliged. . .it can be ad libitum. ( At leisure. )

I like the idea of a topic for inspirational and uplifting music. It could be for all types of music too. I like the writing idea too, since your a writer and I'm an aspiring writer it's something that could be nice for us as well as other interested members.
Do you want to set up some topics like that Timothy? I think it's a great idea to do music and/or writing topics. I can do it if you don't want to though. :)
Hey there fellow mods!So I made a topic for a group Bible read and also made a poll for members to vote on their choice of a book to read. Does it look okay to you guys or is there anything you want me to change or clarify? Feel free to add anything yourselves. :) I think we should wait on the devotions for now, but we may do that eventually if the participation level goes up with this addition. Do you agree?
Are any of you going to be reading Ephesians with the group? It shouldn't take up too much time because you have two days to read one chapter and there are only six chapters in Ephesians. If you could help initiate conversation and activity in the Ephesians topic that would be great!! Of course if you're too busy I completely understand!!
