Maria (mariasm) | 2441 comments Rad Ryan, Moira Young's writing takes some getting used to. But Blood Red Road is a very good dystopian read :)

Rollie, Game of Thrones is thick - baka months ang abutin mo bago mo matapos un hehe. at my deadline ka pa sa Blood Red Road ha!

Enjoy Blood Red Road, guys (and the Cage fights and the Hell worms, hahaha!).

Veneficus (veneficus_) | 277 comments Maganda 'yang Blood Red Road! One of the best YA dystopias I've read, so far. Enjoy the book! ^_^

message 2707: by Rad Ryan (new)

Rad Ryan (vanish) | 74 comments There are seven books in the series A Song of Ice and Fire. OMG. All thick. Whew!

Veneficus really? Now im really being curious to it!! Is it like THG? Far more better or less?

message 2708: by Rollie (new)

Rollie (zheick) | 2096 comments I'm now afraid of comparing a book. :D

message 2709: by Rad Ryan (new)

Rad Ryan (vanish) | 74 comments I agree but sometimes can't stop to rely on comparing books, so I will know if it's good or not great. But the disadvantage of it is you don't have to get to try the book AND people have different tastes.

message 2710: by Veneficus (new)

Veneficus (veneficus_) | 277 comments "Lamang ng ilang paligo" ang THG siyempre. Hehe. Pero 'di ka magsisisi sa BRR kapag binasa mo na. Uh, may pagkakahawig sila ng THG, and if you know the The Knife of Never Letting Go, 'yun, parang ganoon ang BRR. :D

Teka, is it true that George R. R. Martin won't continue writing the last two books of ASoIaF? I just read it somewhere. 'di Ko lang maalala kung saan.

message 2711: by Rad Ryan (new)

Rad Ryan (vanish) | 74 comments Heard of the The Knife of Never Letting Go but never tried it, kasi diba parang survival din ung BRR same as THG, so siguro maganda yoon as u said it is!

What?!! Di nga? Ano yon! Tinamad na siyang ituloy? haha! well far from the 5th book pa naman ako! Pero sayang naman kung di niya ituloy. Baka chismis lang yan hehe.

message 2712: by Rollie (last edited Aug 19, 2011 08:53PM) (new)

Rollie (zheick) | 2096 comments Rad Ryan: Yes. I can't stop myself, too. :D But people have different tastes as you said and it suggests that people might like more either of the book they choose. :D

Veneficus: Yes. Kinda cross my mind about that two books. :) THG and TKoNLG.

message 2713: by Emily (new)

Emily (emily_goes) | 11 comments Yesterday it was Eye of The Tempest by Nicole Peeler. I lost interest midway through the book.I was stuck in a rut. I started reading discovery of witches instead. Just the change of prose and writing approach made a huge difference! I'm on a roll again :) happy reading everyone!

Though i haven't read Game of Throne yet, I read that A Dance with Dragons was the final and concluding book in the series.

You mean to say, GRRM won't finish both The Winds of Winter and A Dream of Spring? But he already signed them with Harper; and have assigned ISBN too.

Ruth Belano-Ingkal (ruthpincabelano) | 0 comments I'm currently reading Something Borrowedby Emily Giffin

I could totally relate to it!!! I mean, not the sleep-with-my-best-friend's-fiance part. It's just that it perfectly describes my relationship with my best friend. She really does take advantage of everything and she's really flirtatious and she takes almost everything from me. I don't hate her that much but I just realized that because of this book. She's as mean as I made her sound. I'm pretty used to. Sorry ahahaha!! I just wanna let it all out. Sorry!!!!!
Unfortunately, I missed the movie :(

moohahaha! I should read that book :D I actually had a best friend who stole my ex-bf. Haha! I should write a novel, too? LOL anyway, just forgive and forget, that's the only thing we have to do :)

message 2725: by Alibiserver (new)

Alibiserver | 221 comments @Ruth, read that book, kinda meh for me... :D

Giffin had those parts that she just tries so hard to make you laugh but it doesn't work out. It's still a beautiful book though. The best part was when they're discussing a case with a terror prof in their law years.

message 2730: by Maria (new)

Maria (mariasm) | 2441 comments like i said previously when comparing THG to Divergent, it's unfair since trilogy ang THG, at book 1 pa lang ang Divergent - the same thing also applies to Blood Red Road being compared to THG.

The Knife of Never Letting Go is way creepier and more gripping than Blood Red Road. Mas realistic ang The Knife kaya mas nakakatakot. not to mention hindi skilled in fighting ang hero sa The Knife compared to the heroine of BRR, kaya mas scary :)

just my two cents!
