But if you were on space 3 and rolled 6, shouldn't that be 9 then?

Yes, it would be Book 9...but I have to re-roll after teammate posts her review. So who knows what we will get then,

@Marty: No Word from Tera, I had also pm'd her but no response.
It's important that people check in at least every other day. I
@Gea, cross your fingers. I actually want to land on 6 so I can read
but whatever we get I hope I find out soon because I finished my audiobook and need a new book when I go to the gym in 2 hours:(

this is the third book in the series. It starts where the second book left off. Baal and the dark vampires had attacked Naos then Noire region. Claire and the Noire Vampires are burning the dead dark vampires and putting to rest their fallen vampires. Claire feels she must go back to Naos to be with her family. Arrick, Liz, Robyn, and Dimtry travel with her. There they train to be ready for Baal's next attack. Nicolae (Noire) promised to help Naos in the battle against Baal but won't be much help because he doesn't have many fighters. Claire and her father travel to Titan to seek help. Titan is still upset with Naos and Noire region for not believing him about Baal. He says he won't help. Ronon (another born vampire - with power like Claire) gets his father to change his mind. Through Claire and Ronon and the others - they are able to defeat Baal.
This was an enjoyable read. Wraps up the series nicely - though there are rumors that there may be another book.

You didn't do anything wrong, but you had your book finished yesterday and if you posted your review then Ezi could have rolled earlier today. Some of us just prefer to know quickly what book we're going to read to plan accordingly so we don't start a wrong book at the wrong time (read above about my #6 which I started too quick today).
Roll 2: "3"
Starting Space: 3
New Spot: 6
Book choices: 6 in the title, or 6th in the series
Alternative: Title "H"
*I am sorry Gea :(

Hi Tera,
To echo what Gea said.
Today (Thursday at 11:59) is the Deadline before you lose a turn, but teams can roll at 12:01am Thursday morning again at Sunday 12:01am if their reviews are completely in.
That's why most people aim to have their reviews in by Wed & Sat night.

Hi Gea (yes spying/eavesdropping ☺) I just read that for a different team challenge. Super easy quick read. Granted I read out of order - I thought this one went to a different series that I have by her, lol. Hope you like it

I'm jealous - hoping we get a six for SS *stamping foot*

Let me guess, McCabes. ☺ I was pretty confused especially since I was reading both series in the same time.
I agree, it's going to be quick and fun read.

No Tea. It's Montgomery & Armstrongs. Wrong series. LOL! But while I loved M&A, the McCabe Trilogy was stronger. Loved the last book with Rhiannon too!
@Melissa, I am torn between reading Guild Hunter (my Dusty Bookshelf choice AND Meet & Greet selection) or
, book 6 in Lucky Harbor series. It was very hard, but Guild hunters kills 3 birds
(1) DB,
(2) Meet & Greet 2
(3) Finishes (at least current) on the series

I really liked the first book from the series and this one was recommended to me many times but I kept putting it off. I didn't like the first McCabes book that much so I hope it gets better with second book.
Ezi, Melissa you have both waited too long for Archangel's Legion - it is an awesome book packed with action

I know it's M&A but that 'other' series is McCabes. ☺ Even now I have no idea who goes where without reading blurb.
I actually liked M&A better. I think. *goes to see blurbs*
Gea,
if I read it, there is nothing left to do, but go finish Psychangels (which I am on book 5). Oh well.
@Tea: I prefer Maya Banks HR work. Her contemporary stuff hasn't hooked me yet. The new M&A book will be out later this year, I think around Aug or so. I can't wait. The cover is really nice.

I don't think I've read her contemporary. Only reason I've picked up historicals was because you were reading one of them during our hobbit period. (Thanks for recommendation! ☺)
Are you sure about release date? GR says 2015. Anyway, it's too long in both cases.
2015---WHAT? they must have pushed it back. what is wrong with these publishers? why do I have to wait for stuff?
*Stomps my feet
I can't take it. I need to get back to Monica McCarty's highland warriors. This challenge will help get on track with my series

I have read 14 of her books and KGI series is great romantic suspense, her others are erotica. Has either of you tried KGI?
I liked KGI, I think I am on book 2, which I bought from audible but hadn't listened to it yet.
I believe you, the New Adult authors and erotic authors are churning them out like crazy. 2-3 books a year, and majority are so similar to stuff I've read, it's driving me back to HRs

Yeah, sure. Especially when you guys keep recommending something new.
eLibrary doesn't have KBI. *pouts*
Need to check in local one. That'll have to wait till Monday.

I'm in Philadelphia library (they were only one who allowed non-US) and they don't have it. Is that what you meant?
Over here we are still using only paper. Can you believe it?! :P
There is 50% off Kobo code so I'll probably go that way.

Yea - Tea is right. I started the McCabes series and saw this one at Target and thought it went with the McCabes series. It turned out all good as the author does a lot of filling in from the past book. Or at least for me it was enough.
I think you should go with

The book is easy so I may succeed, if not I'll finish it in the morning, couple of hours after your midnight.

Book: Highlander Most Wanted by Maya Banks
Read: 15-Feb-2014
Rating: ★★★★★
Review:
This was a second book in a fantastic series by one of my favorite authors. I didn't like it as much as the first book but it was still one of my favorite HR books. It was a pretty emotional book that dealt with heroine's abuse at the hands of a man and his clan. I was shocked by the clan's attitude towards Genevieve as it was pretty obvious to everyone she was the vicitim there. Bowen was a great hero, he listened to Genevieve even when he was angry and then took stood up for her against his brother. Even when I usually prefer the bad ass heroes he is one of my favorite heroes ever.
The next book is about Taliesan and it will be very hard to wait for another year before reading about her HEA.
Space 6
Book Choice: Archangel's Legion (Guild Hunters, Book 6)
Read: Feb, 15
Rating & Review: ★★★
Well, this book was really a 2.5 star for me but I rounded up to a 3-star.
I am ready to throw in the towel. Nalini Singh doesn't do it for me. The only two books that I truly enjoyed were Books 4&5 as they focused on Dmitri & Jason's HEA. I don't enjoy Elena & Raphael. I don't really enjoy the Guild Hunter's world. Lijuan is just a truly creepy being but I just could never get into this world.
Story in a gist: Queen of the dead Lijuan tries again to defeat Archangel Raphael and attempts to topple NYC. We get some background into Elena's relationship with her dad Jeffrey, and the Guild Hunters give the Angels the assist (especially Elena to Raph). A new race of sorts comes into play.
Wait, if there is a book on Aodhan or Illium, I will read that. But anything with Elena and Raphael as the lead, will be a pass for me.

Review of Hearts at Stake by Alyxandra Harvey
4 of 5 stars
Read 2-15-14
This is different take on vampires. There are the normal vampires that were turned by a bite. Then there is the Drake family - they turn when they reach the age of 16. Their blood changes and they must fed on blood to survive. Solange is the only girl with 8 brothers. They are deathly protective of her. There is a prophecy stating she will be the next vampire queen - of course this has her in a sticky situation with the current queen. If this is bad enough - Solange is emiting a pheromone that is drawing all vampires to her with the need to be with her. Solange has been isolated for most of her life because of this. Her best friend, Lucky (or Lucy) is human and partly immune to vampire pheromones.
There is alot of action and intrige. Will Solange be strong enough to make it through the blood change? Will she be kidnapped by the vampire suitors or Heli- Ras (vampire Hunters)? Will the queen be succesfull in her attempt on Solange's life?
It is a really good read. I recommend it to those that like vampire books.

Title: The Murderer's Tale by Margaret Frazer
Finished: 2/15/14
Rating: Five stars
Review:
Things are not all they should be at St. Frideswide convent. Domina Edith is dead, replaced by the loud, ambitious and difficult Domina Alys. Sister Frevisse is far more quick witted than the average nun at St. Frideswide and often, to her shame, less than diplomatic in speech when it comes to her new superior. She chafes under Alys' rule and is glad to escape on an errand to Minster Lovell, with her friend Dame Claire, to sort out a property dispute with Lord Lovell.
Along the way, they meet up with Lionel and Giles Knyvet's party. Lionel is afflicted with 'a demon' aka epilepsy and is dependent on his servant Martyn when his seizures render him helpless. Giles bitterly resents Lionel's status, wealth and his preference for Martyn's company. He is coldly concocting a way to be rid of both the men he hates and get his hands on Lionel's fortune.
Sister Frevisse is reluctantly drawn into this deadly family drama. Tragedy strikes, and Lionel, because of his most recent seizure, is implicated as the unwitting cause. Frevisse is the only one who can follow the subtle clues that point to a more sinister, calculating murderer's hand.
I've read several of the Sister Frevisse mysteries in the past. It was good to reacquaint myself with her prickly personality and razor sharp detective mind. I wonder what's in store for the detestable Domina Alys. The brief descriptions of books 7 and 8 suggests that she won't be prioress for long, whether because she is deposed or murdered.

will read Hex Hall (Hex Hall #1)

Book: Finding Shelter by M.J. O'Shea. Book 3 in the Rock Bay Series.
Finished: Feb. 11
Rating & Review: ★★★★.
This was the best book in the series.
Justin Foster was a son of an abusive alcoholic homophobe who used Justin and his mom as his punching bags. After his father almost beat him to death, Justin and his mother snuck him out of the house and put him on a bus to hide out with his Aunt in Rock Bay Washington State.
There Justin had his cousin Travis for company, and began the process of trying to live a life devoid of fear and bruises. He got a job working for Tally & Lex at their Coffee & Cake shop, and there he met Justin, Mason's best friend and roommate. Sparks flew immediately, but Justin was still too dealing with the fear his father would find him and didn't need a complication in his life. Besides Justin was straight and couldn't be interested in him, right?
this one was much more emotional and the writing was more engaging that the prior book. I love these stories where people get to overcome abuse and find happiness. It makes me so hopeful and I smiled a lot in this book. It was very sweet.
